  1. SkepticLance im well aware that gobal worming is a natral phenominon that repeats its self. I was simply suggesting that the atlantiens or ancient egyptions could have accelorated Global worming like what todays humans are doing. humans have existed long enough for them to have discovered the some of the pulluting technology that we have today. or possibly some other technology that adversly effected weather.
  2. is it possible that humans 10,000 years ago had some of the technology that we have today? isnt that when the atlantiens were supposed to live. also alot of the technology that the egyptions had has bein burried for centries. a global warming or ice age could wash away Alot of the remnetns of a lost civillization. the Proof could be at the bottum of a trench in the ocean.
  3. ok, cool, i thought it was iron that alowed oxygen to be carried. it only makes sence. iron binds with oxygen very easly.
  4. in responce to insane alien thats why it is inportant to always leave room for possiblities. because we don't have all the data.
  5. How does the body recognise a foren body, like a virus or bacteria. is it because of a chemical signiture thats unique to that virus, or is it something else? How do the Red Blood Cells carry oxygen?
  6. yes it would be cool, but what if one of those kids turned out to be a criminal? that would be a big problem
  7. i know that the egyption pharohs had "the power of the gods" as they said it. there was one text that said the pharoh was gifted by the god Osiris the power to shake the ground. Osiris is the egyption god of the earth. there is also some mayan texts that speak of their sorcerors haveing the power to move mountians, erupt volcainos, stuff like that. the egyption sorcerors also were said to be able to make the walls speak and staffs into snakes. ill try to find it. you can google "egyption sorcerors" or somthing of the sort and you can find alot of info on the subject there are some places in the bible and hebrew texts that speak of the egyptions in the same way.
  8. im asking for peoples opinions, not scientific data for or against it. and it is possible to "forget" how to use them if we were taught from childhood that those ablities arn't real, that ablitiy would remain undeveloped. so over time, the ablity would be forgoten. the time when TK would be "forgoten" is during the time when christianity was on a rise, they burned witches at the stake, and surpressed alot of knowledge about those ablities because they saw them as evil. this was because of their ignorince, but now we have the technology to study these ablities more in-depth and know just how it would work. science doesn't because its thought of as irrelavent. and your right, why would we evolve a benaficial ablity just to forget about it. we forgot it because of the superstitions and fears of the early christians. thinking faster would make you persive time as slower.
  9. like a battle between the concous and the sub-concous? once, but only after i sayed up till 4:00 am. people get crazy when they havent had sleep.
  10. so if we somehow altered the brains chemistry to be a perfect conductor, or at least a very good one. what do you think would happen? what would be possible then? excluding bionic implants. what would the brain be capable of then?
  11. so if the brain worked at 100 percent efficency, would it be possible to preform ablities like telekinesis, or levitating? as well as superthinking like some of those otistic people. in responce to padren's post, that feeling of time slowing down would only be the person perciving time as slower. time is relative to the observer. so it can be sped up, or slowed down by changing your perception of time passing. in the dogfight, you dont have time to think, you just act on reflex. some of those people in the olympics can run like the wind, finishing a mile(or half a mile.) in under a minute.
  12. ok that must be one hell of a headache.
  13. yes, thats why i don't beleave everything in it. i "dicect" and analize it and look at every perspective i can, to find if its creditable, i also compare it to different documents of that time(i found them at a musiem and library). i do that with even the most compelling evadence. and your right, scientists have more evadence to support evolution than creation, but thats not the reason i beleave it. i do because i have studied genetics and how different radiations and environmental changes can effect a species. and have found for myself that evolution is the logical theory. currently, its more plausable than creation. i would like to beleave that we were created by an omnipotent being and were given this earth to take care of it. but there just isn't any facts to support it. ive always thought of the bible as a book of princables and wisdom, because some of the storys have a good lessons and morals to learn. it has a clear code of ethics, and some would do this world some good if we followed those ethics
  14. i thought a seizure is when the neurons misfire. send a electrical or chemical signal in the wrong direction or somthingn like that.(i ment to say 30% in my post) 30% brain activity is probably in somone that is multi-tasking. i know that when someone does multitasking to much it will give them a headache, and make it harder to concentrate later. the younger genoration is better adapted for multitasking, the area of the brain that deals with focusing on a task is more devloped. once scientists figure out how to make artifishel gravity, thay can use the same technology to make a "telekinesis" machine that is controled by the brain. that would be awsome once nanotechnology is perfected.
  15. laser eyes would only be possible with cybernetic inplants. otherwise, a laser of the same power as cyclops of X-men would fry the eyes, unless they were made of a differnet materal. Which the body would probably reject.
  16. the brain can not be 100% active, MRI's and others have shown that only certin parts of the brain are active at any given time, that activity is in the range of 10 - 40%.(in someone that is awake) i ment brain usage as in, brain activity, neurons active. also, do you really think the average human uses 100% of their brain power when they make some of the dumbest mistakes. such as, tryng to kick somthing thats on the celing. i witnessed my sister doing this, she landed on her butt. very funny.(note: she wasn't hurt)
  17. What would be possible if humans used 100% of their brain power? some say that we would have perfect telekinesis and telepathy. i think that humans already have telepahy, they just don't use it, thus causing it to "disappear". others have said that we could walk through walls. id like a list of what you think is possible if we used 100% of our brain. (thats also assuming the neurons work at peak efficency)
  18. yourdadonapogos. you also beleave somthing without gathering and analizing proof of it yourself. evolution does not yet have enough proof(that i know of) to be considered fact. yet you beleave anything the scientists tell you, isn't that the same gulablity that you accuse christians of haveing? you beleave in a theory so strongly that you have closed your mind to ANY other knowledge or theories conserning the origin of mankind. Also the creation of new technolohy just makes it easer to MAKE the proof. like ive said, always keep room for new possiblities. because we don't know what we will learn in the future. consider the midevil times, they were convinced that the earth was flat, and some even stated that there was proof. flawed proof, but it wasn't untill they could travel the ocean that they found the earth was round. the same type of event could happen to disprove evolution, or even proove creation. time will tell. i beleave that its possible for god to exist, but i don't care weather or not he(or she. it) made us. not because there is no proof, but because its a waste of energy to try to proove somthing that we don't have the technology to proove.
  19. insaine alien is right, its not currently phesable. perhaps if we ever figure out how to make somthing like the "inerta dampers" from star trek, it would take less energy to move the earth. but untill then, who cares. if my understanding is correct, the inerta dampers allow a object to go from 0 to any speed, without feeling the "jolt".
  20. "The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?" here is a riddle, its easy if you ask me.
  21. i don't see why you would want to. you don't have to travel to the future to change it. 1: your friend would die if you came back after the time you left to kill him, because you will and already have killed him, but if you returnd to a time before you left, you could then change the timeline buy deciding not to go. 2:you could change it by stopping your past self from going(as in the movie "back to the futrue"). 1: being if the time travel changed the current timeline. 2: being if it made an alternate timeline. Time is a funny thing.
  22. im getting tired of repeating myself, so ill only say it once more. i don't form an opinion until i have proof either for or against. but i always leave room for more possiblitys. that is the most logical solution.
  23. i suppose so, although that one is very hard to beleave. its implausable. but not nessasarly impossible, aliens in a cloaked ship watching you in the shower(i just made this up). HIGHLY unlikely of course. i mean, why would an advanced species come all that way to watch people take a shower? also there is plenty of wealthy people that could pull a prank of that magnitude. don't know any who would.
  24. if you can't disproove it, and you can't proove it, than don't bother saying weather its real or fake. its a waste of breath. its pointless trying to proove or disproove somthing that can't yet be prooved or disprooved.
  25. lol, true. but its instinct to reproduce, so i don't think were in any danger of dying out.
