1) A (neutrons are like there name says: neutral) 2) C (we assume conductive bodys) (D is only right when the uncharged body is earth)

Galaxi trick, How can it be farther away than its existence time?
Kedas replied to Kedas's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
Yes, I know I simplified that because the expansion should be close to lightspeed to be able to have that result. let me give an example with numbers. (again with some assumtions/simplification) T0=one point T1=space expanding at lightspeed T2=750million years later light starts to travel towards the other end of the universe. diameter of universe is 1.5billion lightyears. (while expanding) T3=Light arrives 13billion years later. The begin distance is 1.5billion lightyears. The arrival is 13billion years later. (at lightspeed) So the average speed between 'first light' and us: 1.5/13 = 0.12c (lightspeed minus our speed) meaning we were expanding at an average of 0.88c And this is my problem: 0.88c, isn't that way to much ??? (I thought it would be closer to c but it's still a lot) I know the universe isn't put together that simple put you understand what I mean now (I hope) -
Galaxi trick, How can it be farther away than its existence time?
Kedas replied to Kedas's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
No, I think you are missing my point. I know that the universe is more than 750million years old, that is the moment that that light started to travel towards us....(reread first post) -
If the universe started with the/a big bang then everything was together at the beginning of the universe. So how can you say I'm looking back 13 billion years when the univerese was only 750 million years old. So how did that galaxi get 13000million lightyears away from here in only 750million years ???? news facts: http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/02/16/farthest.galaxy.ap/index.html

Instant 'After-images' on the Retina?
Kedas replied to Synthesis's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
BTW being able to keep seeing things in the dark isn't that unusual for the simple reason that it isn't overwritten with other light when the source stops. -
Instant 'After-images' on the Retina?
Kedas replied to Synthesis's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
Don't know a name. If you keep seeing trails all over the place (during the day) then you may contact a doctor. It could be normal for your brain/eyes but it could also be a sign for something else that isn't right. -

funny, but it's about an input device not an output device. Compared to a camcorder I would say you have a low shutter speed (explains the sensitivity) Not sure but an afterimage is when your eye sensors stay activated for a while after the light source stopped. You can compare it with a very loud sound that makes you hear 'noise' when it's already silent. -
I don't think I use words for the simple reason that I always have to do a 'translation' when I want to explain something. Maybe I think in action-reaction events with timing tags. and the way it is stored depends on the source of the data.

which Operating System? which Programming language? which Ports? using the ports to do standard communication or do specific tasks (driver)

'actually' refers to one-truth/facts but the facts are relative? edit light speed = posting over 300 messages with 0 hours activity.

http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99994624 bad, not bad, bad, not bad..... Why can't they just make their mind up about it. I guess the best rule is frequent long use is best to be avoided.

Not sure if it's an Belgian law or European agreement but there is one that says that eveything that is published is automatically copyrighted also without © symbol. not sure though.

Any idea if ESA does the same with the Mars Express pics/data?
-
LOL Some time ago there went something wrong with the forum people couldn't post anymore etc. Since then I (and a few other people) got a negative number. It's rising normaly like yours no strange tricks or anything. So if you also want a neg. number the only thing you can do is hoping that the forum is going down temporarily
-
It's not only a technical thing it also a money thing. NASA did spend about 6 times the money ESA did. And the main task (the mars express) is a succes. (the beagle2 was/is an add-on british project)

In Dutch (some other languages also) we do have two diff. names to avoid confusion. Dokter: medical Doctor: the not medical title P.S. Do I get a prize when I reach 0 hours activity time???

To create an electromagnetic wave you have to accelerate a electric charge. It starts from 0Hz to ?infinity?Hz But it only starts to travel in air/vacuum if the frequency is high. So the answer would be Yes it will generate an elektromagnetic wave. (if you will be able to detect it is an other question.)

If there is frozen water & carbon dioxide and hot places doesn't that mean that live is very likely somewhere on mars? there must be a 'sweet spot', right?

This thread seems to prove the GSM effect on rats P.S. Blike how do you put a picture beside the text in the news forum?
-
You ask do/can you control what you are thinking? It's actually a strange question because the thinking IS you. (there would be no you if there is no thinking) Your other question is could an external source change you (your thinking)? I hope so for you

PASADENA, Calif. -- Scientists are puzzled about a patch of soil near the Mars rover Spirit lander that they now call "Magic Carpet". The intrigue has been stirred up by how soil behaved when the lander’s airbags scraped across the martian soil. That soil appears to have been peeled away. This odd performance of the soil, some speculate, could provide a window into the existence of subsurface water and, maybe, clues about whether Mars could sustain life. There’s one thing for sure. Whatever the lander’s airbags have caused, the result is a "spirited" debate. http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/spirit_gusev_040116.html http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/mer2004/rover-images/jan-16-2004/captions/image-8.html

The Hubble was designed to be serviced. Although they will probably have to start replacing parts that weren't designed to serviced. The JWST won't be serviced. (because of high orbit)

What about the THE JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE for 2011. Will they abort that also? If bush is doing something right for ones then we will have a party. Statistically speaking it should happen They even have trouble to keep ISS fully operational how will they do that on the moon?? Edit: some interesting info: http://ngst.gsfc.nasa.gov/QuestionOfTheWeek/QuestionOfTheWeek.html

What is the difference between chemistry and physics?
Kedas replied to Dreamer's topic in Other Sciences
subset or not or the otherway around. If we have to discuss(not prove) about it then what is the point in agreeing about it. It's all about understanding the same universe so it is obvious all related to each other. -
I think YT2095 is close, curiosity and the will to understand. If you don't 'feel' better by discovering something then I don't think you can call yourself a scientist. A walking scientific database isn't a scientist. But obvious a degree can help a lot. (inventing the wheel again isn't really useful)
