  1. The other side can't seem to do anything more than refute our statements. Maybe if they posted more on their opinions. ;)
  2. I find that something being able to be proved makes it a lot more rational.
  3. -From Wikipedia You might also look at the magazine which published it. It would also no longer be science as it could not be tested.
  4. Are you serious?
  5. We were discussing this with my Uncle today. Why was Florida chosen to house Nasa. Is there any scientific reason that it should be in Florida? He thinks that Florida had some political influence (senators, money, etc), i.e. politics got it here. Other speculations included being near the ocean, near the equator, and cheaper land.
  6. Logic
  7. It is human nature to lie.
  8. The reason is that I think people lie too often. People lie to me and I see peopl lieing all the time.
  9. Hmm...lets think about this. A resume contains the credentials and reasons which you think should get you the job. If you are accepted by false information, should you not tell anyone? I cannot say I have studied people handling resumes.... The average bear can remember whether or not they completed college.
  10. What equations do you use to do the math on that?
  11. Oops ;-) It's not math - it's him. :edit: This site doesn't seem too respectable either.
  12. Thanks
  13. Yes. I get arrested for false resume submission every other week.
  14. How would you put a space in Latex? Say I wanted to put something in scientific notation, what's the best way to do that.
  15. Yea. Keep in mind that much of the energy used in the system was you hauling the weigt up the tree. The coeffeicent of gravity in the (newtonian) equation [math] F=G \frac{m_{1} m_{2}}{d^2}[/math] is [math] G = 6.68 \ \rm x \ 10^{-11} [/math] and for electromagnet force in the equation [math] F=k \frac{Q_{1} Q_{2}}{d^2}[/math] it is like [math] k = 8.988 \ \rm x \ 10^9 [/math]. Gravity is a very weak force.
  16. Not currently. Until we learn more about how gravity works we won't know for sure. It has a section on gravity in Wikipedia's perpetual motion machines. You can read that. The main problem is that it takes force and energy to get an object up to use gravity. It would have to be done a different way than this.
  17. I just got my drivers license ! Yay. I would suggest any people living in the southeastern United States stay off the road for a few years.
  18. none
  19. Why don't I just tell NASA I have an engineering degree from MIT. I'm planning to anyway. If I get accepted I don't think it will matter whether or not I actually got it. I'm pretty sure lying on your resume is not a good thing. I'm not sure if it's illegal but I think we all knew he knew he should have told them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.
  20. A sense of humor never was my strong point.
  21. It could be of us as a transitional or converting unit. I don't see any practical reason for it.
  22. What type or articles does the Nature magazine have? I looked online a little but I'm interested to hear from a subsriber. It also said it costs $80 a year for a student, why is it so much?
  23. I don't think I would ever want to live forever in this world.
  24. I think you mean i.e. E.g. (exempli gratia) means for example and i.e. (id est - that is) means in other words. We learned that stuff in latin.
