We were discussing this with my Uncle today. Why was Florida chosen to house Nasa. Is there any scientific reason that it should be in Florida? He thinks that Florida had some political influence (senators, money, etc), i.e. politics got it here. Other speculations included being near the ocean, near the equator, and cheaper land.
Hmm...lets think about this. A resume contains the credentials and reasons which you think should get you the job. If you are accepted by false information, should you not tell anyone? I cannot say I have studied people handling resumes.... The average bear can remember whether or not they completed college.
Yea. Keep in mind that much of the energy used in the system was you hauling the weigt up the tree. The coeffeicent of gravity in the (newtonian) equation [math] F=G \frac{m_{1} m_{2}}{d^2}[/math] is
[math]
G =
6.68
\
\rm x
\
10^{-11}
[/math]
and for electromagnet force in the equation [math] F=k \frac{Q_{1} Q_{2}}{d^2}[/math] it is like
[math]
k = 8.988 \ \rm x \ 10^9
[/math].
Gravity is a very weak force.
Not currently. Until we learn more about how gravity works we won't know for sure. It has a section on gravity in Wikipedia's perpetual motion machines. You can read that.
The main problem is that it takes force and energy to get an object up to use gravity. It would have to be done a different way than this.
Why don't I just tell NASA I have an engineering degree from MIT. I'm planning to anyway. If I get accepted I don't think it will matter whether or not I actually got it. I'm pretty sure lying on your resume is not a good thing. I'm not sure if it's illegal but I think we all knew he knew he should have told them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.
What type or articles does the Nature magazine have? I looked online a little but I'm interested to hear from a subsriber. It also said it costs $80 a year for a student, why is it so much?
