I don't see why it is such a big deal. Some of us do, some don't we are all different. It's not like we are paying homage to God or announcing our faith, just a little phrase of hope and well being. I don't find a problem with it.
Are you sure you can hear the 21000? Most speakers can't go up that high and the webpages I looked at said 20000 was the range for human ears. (Does anyone know if this is accurate? I found many pages saying 20000 so it seems to be agreed.)
Well, our main advantage is the brain and the ability to solve problems and use tools. Most of this is done with the hands and opposable thumbs. If we still hunted, having hands free while running to throw spears etc. was probably what we relied on to survive.
I searched on the web and all the sites I found said humans aren't able to hear above 20,000 Hz so those who can hear them all should check the sound card/speakers or what ever.
Doesn't it have something to do with male and female babies being the same in the womb for a few months or something? Then they take on gender attributes but the nipples are already there in both but they only progress in females? Or something. I'm not sure.
We all have certain inalienable rights and if we say one person is not important we are going against the very foundation of America and most countries. If it indeed is within his rights, then it does matter. He has rights. Everyone has rights. Does anyone care about your individual rights? They should. Discriminating is also against the progress of democracy. Justice must prevail.
It might actually cost more to freeze/buy the ice and buy and run the pump, plus I wonder how much the tiny air bubbles will lower the temperature of the room. I'm guessing it will cost more money/time/efficiency to lower the room to the same temperature than an air conditioner but I could very well be wrong.
It will speed up until it passes the center when it will start to slow down. Neglecting air resistance and any other forces (only gravity is counted) it would go to the same distance it was dropped but on the other side. My teacher explained this to our class one day. It is, however, impractical becuase there will always be some retarding force.
