So we have to find a way to go faster than the speed of light? Didnt einstein say that the universe is bended by gravity or something like that, or was it another theorist? Well anyways if we were able to find exactly how this process works then maybe wed be able to send signlas through to another place in space or even time

Ok I have a question, Just like the title says how in the world did einstein come out with his theory??? Its not like you wake up one day and say well the speed of light must be this and the total ammount of energy in a given ammount of mass is this. HOw did he do it

so that means light does not experience time? But how can gravity affect time, could the use of gravity enable us to get rid of the annoying delay when communicating with people over large distances. If were abloe to find a way to surpass the speed of light or at least find out how to travel through time like light seems to do then it might be posible to communicate with lets say some one on jupiter with out delay. This kind of technology will be required when we are capable of travelling to space with a litle more ease.

Ok basically the theory of relativity says anything travelling at the speed of light does not experience time. The reason is the slower your moving the faster time is going by, If you travel from point a to point b wich is 300 light years away at the speed of light you feel as if you got the in an instant. So if the photons travel at that speed then they dont experience time.

So its all relative =D meaning different places in universe perceive things differently, quite scary aint it

Thats my point, I was trying to explain its simply impossible for light to be faster than gravity because gravity doesnt experience time and neither does light. So trying to say they have the same speed seems plausible now that I think of it, they do not experience time so how can it be measure I am gonna go research this subjects =D

Wait a minute. LEts just say this guys are right. If the sun exploded, and gravity would leave us at the same time that we saw the sun destroyed, wouldnt we be stuck permenently looking at the same image because wed be going away from the blast, or at least time would seem to slows down to us?

we dont adhere to space, space is just that space. what we adhere to is gravity aint it? So nothing can escape gravity because no matter were you are its allready there. You know how were travelling in time? Doesnt it mean that because gravity can bend space it can also bend time meaning it can be everywere instantaneously? Can you point me to some recent information on this things please =D

think about the quicksand this way. If you take out gravity from the whole thing you would not fall in the quicksand, what I mean by this is that were trying to compare light to gravitational speed, in your examples your bringing in a third force, wich is gravity. I know thats confusing but there should only be the runner and the quicksand, the quicksand is not moving you towards it gravity is.

Ok I have a question. If the speed of light can be changed. Doesnt this mean that somehow it might be sped up and the relativity theory is not broken? This emans that gravity can travel faster than light with out breaking some of this laws. Also I read somewere that light is not affected by time. So doed this mean that gravity might still be instantaneous but to us it might seem like it is moving slower? Man Your not smart are you. You seem to know what you speak of, but then again a guy with a photographic memory could too. Yours stating what you read. I can go into an old book and say thats the truth. A couple of years from now your gonna be told something else thats backed by proof and youl believe it. This are all theories man. Most science on such a large scale depends on the law of relaticity so breaking that law scares you? Einstein was a freaking genius. The Article I linked to at the beginning said that It was not exact. The was a 20 percent chance of error meaning gravity could be 20 percent slower or 20 percent faster than the speed of light. What will you feel when more research is done and you see gravity is in fact 20 percent faster? or maybe it is 20 percent slower??? Do you have another answer for that? Please dont get mad man, I am in search of knowledge as most scientists are.

You do know that less than a decade ago people tought gravity was instant? now people believe that it has the speed of light, next time your gonna be told it has half the speed of light and your going to believe it? Well your statement makes more sense now, one thing tough, imagine this for a second. The sun disappears, and the earth goes off into space the exact moment. One bad part of the whole thing, we wouldnt notice because were allready going through space arent we. Like I said the gravitons wouldnt have nothing to pull back on Another thing you know that so called dark matter, do you think it is affected by gravity or perhaps it works on something opposite like antigravity.

I allways wasnted to have the immune system and healing abilities of wolverine, but the bad thims is that if you have too many white blood cells theys attack any litle intrusion into your body. You might take medicine and they will attack it. Having too many white blood cells would probably not help you out bud. By the way some people here are saying that herbs cant possibly help out immune system. How can you say that perhaps they have something in them that kills diseases that normally attack humans? 5614 how can you insult my intelligence when you say gravity is very weak at short distances. Gravity gets weaker and weaker the further you get from the object that has a gravitational force, meaning the closer the objecst are the stronger gravity seems to be. And in another messgae some guy said that the current theory states that gravity moves at speed of light, thats exactly that theory and cant be proven by todays technology. Light is the fastest thing known to man and i believe it ant possibly be the fastest. Human being dont know how the whole universe works because were a very small part of it. It is probably impossible to build the pyrammid with out technolgy, the egyptians must have been advanced architects to build something like that with out no mistakes, just because they were ancient doesnt mean they werent advanced, the romans built the colloseum that was advanced, the bad thing is when those civilizations fell all their knowledge was lost, if all of todays civilizations fell to war, the people of the future might think the same about things like the Statue of liberty or the eiffel tower and might be barely catching up to us, u never know stuff can disapear with some random events.

isnt temperature the measure of the ammount of energy in something? Lazers with higher frequencies must have more energy coming out of em and must also be different color because diferrent freqencies of light are recognized by us as the different colors of the so called spectrum (Infra Red ) ( Red ) ( Violet ) (Ultra Violet) <The frequency changes through the spectrum>

I have no idea what I am typing but here it goes, the gravity within the atoms affects the light? or maybe the light is being slowed down by all the atoms in its way, how does this work???? Maybe the photons bounce around within the water and seems that the ones that make it thought to the other side will be dimmer and weill seem to be slowed but its just many of them were absorved or they bounced off somewere else. am i correct

like i said, in the link i posted they claimed to have measured the speed of gravity, what I meant is it is possible for gravity to be faster than light and is probably such a great speed that it cant be measured by us because were just not advanced enough or were probably too small to notice such a speed. With the advancements in technology in this near future the answers might come to us. So yeah i guess I was correct then, or at least seem to be correct. By the way I am basing my toughts on evidence that I have read and I dont really care about braking the stupid laws that people came up with in the past. Humans are supposed to evolve and if scientists stoped worrying about breakign the natural laws and started worrying more about breaking em somehow we humans would probably jump forward in technolocal advances pretty quickly.
