your missing the "Strong Nuclear Force", it`s one of the 4 nuclear forces. Electromagnetic force is one of the other remaining 3, Gravity and Weak nuclear force being the other 2. they`re all really inter-related and inescapable (even in this) but it`s senseless to overcomplicate things.

simply put, electromagnetics has an electrical and magnetic component to it. this phenomenon (bending of water) is entirely an electrical response with no magnetics/magnetism involved. it`s basic electrostatics here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrostatics the link answers the guys question nicely.

I`v heard the same thing too, in fact scores are biased to take this into account.

can anyone help me get some info on this process, I`v read a little bit about it (in a book) and it sounds like something I`d like to try. I`v googled it and it only gives 8 hits and non of them are of any use. I believe it`s related to Lithography somehow, but I lack details. Anyone?

I have an Electronic Configuration chart of the elements in their ground state. La and Ac have no electrons in the 4 and 5 F. Ce and Pa onwards do however, Th is classed as 5F0 for some reason even though it`s 6D2! there is no 5F1 if you have the Chemistry Data Book (I have the 2`nd edition) it`s a small red book, have a look on page 5

Ce to Lu are 4F Th to Lr are 5F La and Ac are both D block

That makes sense, as it`s originally an M42 mount, and has an M42 to Pentax K mount adapter on it. I`ll have to try it on my Praktica SLR without the adapter and see what that does, Cheers

it doesn`t make any difference to be honest, I have tried the sun and it`s also more or less the same size as the moon on film when developed also. I think it needs a star or maybe street lights across a bay when I go on holiday, they`re pretty tiny and might work. either that or an element in the lens has slipped or it needs recalibrating or something???

I have a Camera lens (a 300mm) that I use to photograph the moon and other far away things, the "problem" I have is that when I set the lens to Infinity for the Moon for instance it`s a little bit out of focus and I have to turn it back just a little bit to be in perfect focus. so my question is, when it`s set to infinity (just beyond what is perfect focus for the moon), what IS it focusing on? what sort of distances am I looking at for that setting be perfect?

have you tested with another reagent, ninhydrin for instance?

I think a nice experiment to try that may just work (and won`t hurt anything if it doesn`t) is to eat little and often rather than 2 or 3 big meals a day, don`t ever let yourself get to the stage of feeling hungry, and perhaps take a good multi-vit once a day, this is what I do and I`m in my 40`s now and have no problems. try that for a few weeks and see what happens, stay away from any drugs that aren`t given by a doctor. if it is sugar related, then keeping an even sugar level without significant highs or lows should get you an improvement fairly quickly. I still think you should get it checked out tho!

all I can tell you is that after months of visits in/out of hospital I was Finally diagnosed as having Hypoglycemia, and my Vit B levels and Iron where extremely low. and although the tablet supplements offered some relief eventually on the whole it didn`t help at all, and certainly not with my (what had become) Phobia, of going to sleep. they made it worse by giving me tranquilisers as well, Lorazepam to be exact I got around mine by getting drunk, and staying that way for the best part of a year. as I said, NOT the best option and certainly a great way to trash your liver! I was just lucky. besides, if you`re having anger issues, I would steer well clear of booze!

I still suspect it`s a Sugar High/Rush, it gives very disconcerting feelings and physiological as well as psychological changes very quickly, very similar to that of Panic. the use of recreational drugs i/e cannabis can precipitate this condition, and quite profoundly on a psychological level as well (esp, paranoia).
