An interesting thing happened while was messing about with an InfraRed signal jammer. the LED emiter I could actualy SEE a faint deep red glow, but my web-cam sees it as a blue/grey very bright light. the LED must be very powerfull and leak a little into the visible Red band. If someone was brought up in pure darkness with only LED lights like the jammer light, would they eventualy adapt and see with it. I without any training, can already see a little bit as can others I`ve tried it with (some cannot for some reason?). would our eyes take this little bit of light and extend further towards the brighter IR part in order to see? I`ve heard of folks that go blind and after several years than can hear things that we can`t. could the same apply?

X~Y I can see x=y doesn`t seem right somehow? not in terms of real values other than 1. the loop I saw as if x=y and y=2 then X^2=4, then wouldn`t it read as 4=2^y and since weve already established that, it would read as x^4=y^x and it would just get bigger? but I pictured it in my head, so probably not the best place to work things out actualy on a re read I must have been trippin, ignore it Math`s aint ma strong point, but I thought I`de have a go anyway at the risk of PROOVING I`m lousey maths, as an oportunity to learn something

but if x and y were the same then using 2 would make 4 throwing the rest of it out, it would just loop and get bigger. whereas with 1 it can loop all it likes and X and Y can still be the same forever. maybe I just understand the prob? I did say I was crap at maths

LOL, In a literal sense I guess it would but the signals in our brain certainly do, like the traces on an EEG. also each mental state has its own frequency, relaxed, sleep, stimulated, Alpha, Delta, theta, beta and so on. I`m guessing that if it WERE possible, that would most likely be the media, certainly the 1`st place I`de look into. I also wonder what would happen though, since wires attatched can pick up the weak electrical signals, if instead of a machine on the other end and a plotter, how about another person? It would certainly be the Empirical way to test it, but I can`t see it working though somehow

but with any electrical signal that is pulsed intermitantly, it will emit E.L.F radio waves, so maybe that`s how? It`s certainly an interesting notion and one I`ve considered myself as a possible cause.

Some good questions! Let`s start with some basic Physics 1`st and then build on that 1. when an electrical current, passes through a conductor (a wire) it generates a magnetic feild. 2. the opposite can happen also, when a magnet is passed over a conductor a wire) it will generate and electrical current. if the wire is in a coil shape it will intensify the effect. have you ever seen 2 magnets together, and depending on which way you have them together, they will either try and fly appart or stick together. when the electrican signals from your musik enter this coil it makes a changing magnetic feild when put by a normal fixed magnet, the coil with then try to atract and repel against it in perfect time to the music. now since the coil is so light and delicate, it needs to be held in place, this is usualy done by a cone of paper or plastic, as the coil makes it`s tint movement, they also move this cone which is much bigger, and then you hear the music because the cone is pushing alot more air than the delicate coil alone could. now along comes a mobile fone. they transmit regularly to check for signals etc... but they transmit at a VERY high frequency almost in the microwave band. although this is`nt alot of power it`s very penetrating and is quite easily blocked. when a conductor blocks some signal, that signal becomes an electrical current, and as you`ve read above, that electrical current can often be used to make sounds. hope that helps a little?

It`s alot to do with freak and coincidentaly resonances, hetrodyne effects and beat frequencies also, it doesn`t just apply to Radio, but to ANY frequency, you`ll get multiples and divisions (beats), especialy where it encounters other objects. even a truck/lorry passing by that you can`t hear may make a picture frame rattle or a wine glass "sing".
