When a dicussion about Time begins, it usually derails into philosophical blah blah after a post or 2. I'd like to refrain from the philosophical tentation, and try to concentrate on what we really know about Time from a scientific point of vue only. For example: 1. we know that motion requires time: nothing can move from one spatial coordinate to another in zero time, it would be a transgression of the Speed Of Light. 2. we know that the rate of time is related to gravity: where gravity is stronger Time flows slower. 3. we know that time has a "direction", commonly called the arrow the time. 4. we know that time is related to causality, and causality is related to c, the Speed Of Light. 5. we know that time is linked to space: time alone has no physical meaning, only the spacetime continuum "exists". 6. we know that time can transform in space, and vice-versa: what is space for an observer may be time for another. What else do we know about Time? (and please correct me for any error)

This is one of the worst video I have ever seen! _first of all, these poors are not poors, go to India to see what poverty means. _secondly many farmers don't "have" anything: they rent their fields, they pay their loan (to the rich) for the tractor. _a field is not a garden for childrens, when children are sent to work to the fields it is very very hard and and assume it is forbidden in your country as child labour. _Finally and most importantly it promotes the poor to remain poor. Time is more profound than its measurement. To me time is a phenomenon. IOW when time flows, something is going on. Simply we don't know what is going on. Some people believe its the other way round: time emerges because something is going on. Under this point of vue, time is a way to measure change. Personally I am not satisfied with this explanation because that explains nothing. I prefer to consider time as an unexplained phenomenon.

I think it's the other way round. Humanity has lost a lot of time. What we know today could have been known many many (many) centuries ago. It is like discoveries were a disturbing element in civilizations, not well received, blasphemic.

When astrophysicts describe a star, they explain the phenomena (the star) from the molecular or even atomic size directly to the size of the star, jumping over the human or even planetary size. IIRC some may even explain the whole universe directly from the subatomic level.

I ment an elevation (or longitudinal section) of the dam. It has to be expected that your dam will have a vertical surface of about 5 times that of the original project. If you expect twice the thickness (very conservative approach) your dam will be 10 times that of SSE. Also you must take into account that the water used to refill the damp must come from somewhere in the surroundings. Have a look at the Grande Dixence dam in Switzerland, it is smaller than yours. Also i suspect a technical issue. The project for the SSE dam must be based upon a geological survey. The way the contour lines are displayed around the area in red in the following may suggest the rocks are not stable. i say that because the project water level stops where this kind of area begins. And i cannot figure what the black dots represent.

If I understand well (please correct me) the main goal is to produce electricity as a backup when wind is unavailable (or too intense). Water does not come naturally into the lake, it would have to be pumped (using electricity from wind). The calculated capacity should be of about 24h of backup for the initial SSE project. There are already negative reactions to the SSE dam. Your dam looks out of size. It will be one of the highest dam in the world. The dimension of the artificial lake are far too small for a so big project. You should make an elevation drawing of your dam. It would look like this: 1km wide, 300m high (the Eiffel tower). That looks too much to me.

Maybe our settings are different in Google Earth. When I input your numbers with copy-paste it goes to China (after erasing some elements like letters N W and correcting letter o into 0), my Google earth has greek settings and don't recognize english letters. ------------------- I think i got it. in the U.S. you measure West, I measured East. ------------------- I'll try again. Sorry, my Google earth sucks. No way to insert the coords, I had to go by feet... And sorry again it does not look like a quarry, it is almost horizontal. But from the 2nd location, you can get the 1993 picture that shows nothing (see below) the lines appear in later pictures: I don't know what it is but it doesn't seem to be the product of any ancient folks. And in location 1. I still cannot discern any chieftain.
