GR explains light going at 1/3rd of C?
-
Yes. If C is constant, then the value 1/3rd of C is equally wrong than any multiple of C. It is not C. Your statement is so much confusing. An observer does not see light "passing by". It observes the light coming to his eyes (or his telescope). Measured light is incident*. And what tells you that another observer will observe "the same light". IMHO by definition it is impossible. The light that hits the retina of the observer on Alpha Centauri is a different one than the light that hits my retina. (edit) * light that travels in any transversal direction is called darkness.

How can space expand, time not, and SOL remain the same?
-
I have no research to provide. In fact we need a research about ergonomics in general. IMHO a lot of "ergonomics" are BS. The human body is so much adaptive that it can play piano forte, violin, keyboards, drive a car or an helicopter after learning. Without learning less can be done. My point above was that when new products are been created, the arrangements of the keys are not conditioned by ancient technology (I thought it has been shown previously that the vertical misalignment was caused by the mechanical arms of the keys and NOT by ergonomics). AND I find it outrageous the say that "Alphabetical order has no purpose. It's an arbitrary arrangement of faint historical value". I cannot even believe someone gave +1 for that. Where do you come from guys?????

But then, how can space expand? without expanding time also?
-
How? For light, I understand, but for other matter, what has time to do with space? Or to put it differently: can't you conceptually have only space, without time?
-
Here a brand new launchpad with aligned keys. Ergonomics play no role, except about the dimension of the keys and the gap between the keys. There is no misalignment because it is a brand new material without other historical background.

Is there any example of "apparent" superluminal velocity?
-
(red color added by me) If I understand correctly, you are observing an object traveling faster than light. The object made 1light hour distance in 15 min. Is that possible?

I have pointed earlier that he is a flat earther. It is a trap. Swansont disagreed.

Time is the cause of motion (hijack split from Time)

You are correct, my bad. -
Time is the cause of motion (hijack split from Time)
michel123456 replied to stupidnewton's topic in Speculations
For example, if you make a distance/time diagram like the one below (from here Credit: Ben Himme, Tristan O'Hanlon, with angle addition by me). The speed is represented by a line, which in facts represents the data coming from a moving point transcripted over time. In fact speed is represented by the angle of this line. The greater the speed, the greater the angle. Null speed correspond to null angle. And SOL is very near the vertical corresponding to an angle near to 90 degrees. IOW the division of distance by time (m/s) is represented by an angle. The surface of the diagram is distance multiplied by time (m s) and I don't know what it is. Reversely, when you take time and multiply it by an angle, you should obtain distance. And if you take distance multiplied by an angle you should obtain time. Whatever that means. -

Please give an example. In my understanding, when you want to analyze things, you divide (or subtract). And when you combine, you multiply (or add). -

When you combine things together, you multiply them. But in this case, instead of multiplying, one must divide. When you divide distance by time you get speed. And if you think about it deeply, it is weird. Take a small distance, equal to a ruler. Then you divide your ruler by "something" and get a speed. What is that "something" that divides your ruler and gets you speed? We call it "time". So simple. -

If I understand clearly the question, there are such researches about human development, for example the size of the land needed for a town to live. But it is not related to the dimension of the animal (human size) but related to the population. A small village needs a smaller size of cultivated land around it than a city like New York.(a large city may need the dimension of a nation around it in order to fit its requirements). I am not aware of such studies in relation of the animal size.

You don't get it. There is no ergonomic reason for the misalignment. The misalignment was caused by mechanical reason in ancient typewriters.
-
What about alignment? There are several other proposals on the Net with aligned keys. The last one seems to be from 2009. They all look better than the current misaligned qwerty, don't you think so?

If it is the case then this thread should be deleted. Not even closed: deleted.
