lol. I really don't have a purpose for the site, just to write things on. i gave her a login to write on there if she wanted. its kind of a running joke between me and her that she's a lesbian. the image was fabricated by me though.
  4. raded teh sux. by einstein i meant "money and available technology"
  5. No mass, no problem. Not to mention that when light is created it is already traveling at c, it does not accelerate to c. I don't know what that means, but it seemed relevant to type.
  6. Thats a good book, Majin. But yea, as someone else mentioned, we sense three spatial (space) and one temporal (time).
  7. Yea, I've seen one of those telescopes on discovery that has a computer constantly bending and contorting the mirror to help correct for this. (i think the mirror is actually made up of many smaller mirrors). Nonetheless, its quite amazing.
  8. Well, for the most part, yes. But understand einstein didn't just "say" its not possible, he showed why. His claims have been under scrutiny since he made them but so far they've held up under testing. There are also other more practical reasons we can't travel light speed. It would take forever to accelerate and slow down, consume lots and lots of energy, etc.
  9. anyone seen it yet? Based on the reviews I've read it was a bit underwhelming.

i think the chats broken right now :/
  11. see this thread and this thread "The 73% density of dark energy means that the universe will keep expanding forever, eventually resulting in a heat death. "Not with a bang, but with a whimper"

    Avatar selection?

We don't really need mods right now, though I'll keep you in mind next time we need some. We gotta get to know you first, however possible that is on the internet

    final fantasy wierdos
  14. Yes, however spacetime expanding at C is not a problem. Relativity is only violated when objects move through spacetime as fast or faster than light. Kinda like leaves floating on a flowing stream. The stream is flowing fast, but the leaves aren't actually moving through the water (generally speaking).
  15. This is because most scientists have agreed that einstein was correct; forbidding bodies with mass to travel at c.

  17. You shouldn't, if you're trying to use the java chat. (http://www.scienceforums.net/chat.php) But if you click on the second link it will attempt to open the local IRC client on your machine (if you have one)

  19. Yea, see here http://www.biols.susx.ac.uk/home/John_Gribbin/cosmo.htm I'm not sure how many other theories there are to account for this problem, though.
  20. yea. But as MrL mentioned, there is a certain horizon problem that prevents us from probing into it.
  21. All we ever see or observe is ordinary matter...
  22. Yea, from what I've heard, the FCAT isn't incredibly hard.

    Help

    lol daisy. /off topic post.
  24. send your name to a comet haha
  25. oh, and I stand corrected on a previous comment i made. From another thread MrL mentions: "The carrier particles exist for the four basic forces, which are: The Electromagnetic The Weak Nuclear Force The Strong Nuclear Force Gravity." and then here I said "There aren't really "carrier particles"." oops
