I won't disagree that the majority of that article was dramaticized and overplayed. Sometimes I wish the NRA were a little more moderate. That poll isn't quite scientific

Giving $25k to terrorist's families isn't sponsoring terrorism? Do you think it was maybe just a little encouragement for terrorists to go ahead and blow themselves up in public places--their family would be rewarded for it? What exactly are you insinuating here? Why don't you just say it outright? Subjective. You can't call any of those an outright lie. Dismantling the Iraqi regime and capturing Saddam Hussein isn't significant progress? (Yes/No) Public elections next year (hopefully) won't be significant progress? (Yes/No) Establishing a new democratic society in the middle-east isn't success? (Yes/No) What is then? Can you give the quote where he did say there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11? If Saddam sponsered terrorism, doesn't that constitute a track record with terror? You can't say definitively that was a lie. You said that Saddam giving families of suicide bombers 25k is not a form of state-sponsored terror. Do you stand by that statement?. Do you stand by the statement that "Capturing Saddam Hussein, dismantling the regime, and holding public elections in Iraq" is not significant progress? Do you stand by the statement that "Success will not have been acheived when the government is turned over to the Iraqi people?"

If they are a LEGAL resident, then yes, they should without question have the right to vote.

Gun control is different from an outright gun ban, which is what Rebecca Peters stands for. If you would like to post some statistics regarding Americans who support banning guns outright, feel free to do so. So no, the NRA has not created it's own nemesis in order to avoid public opinion. Should be an interesting debate, though.

Go for it, I'll be here to verify.

What debate were they watching? If the BBC really said that I think it's quite revealing as to how far left they lean. Cheney clearly dominated Edwards, and I'm not saying that because I'm a republican. I'll admit when someone honestly performed poorly (Bush last week), but Cheney was all over Edwards. It was interesting watching Edwards frustratingly concede the point on Iraqi casualties. I didn't think he clarified very well on the "World Test" statement Cheney referenced. The moderator recognized this and asked him directly and he still danced all around it. Edwards sounded like a mini-Kerry. Did you notice that he violated the same rule twice within a 30 second span when the moderator asked them to explain without using either presidential candidates name why they would be a good VP? Edwards explained why Kerry would be a good president, and Cheney explained why he was a good VP. "Well John Kerry and I...oops sorry ::chuckle::."

What do you think about "chickenpox parties"? I don't recall if they're urban legend or something that actually takes place, but do you think it's ethical? For those of you who haven't heard of them, they are a gathering where a child that is infected with chickenpox (and is contagious) is allowed to play with uninfected children. Parents bring their young children to these parties in order to infect them while they're young. Sounds like a good idea, but is it ethical to do that?

I think a lot of people would love to visit space, including me. It's a whole new experience without gravity and all. I always used to want to be an astronaut when I was a child.

I don't know of anyone who gives two flying heads about boycotting french products. It's pathetic and embarassing that such an idea would even be brought up by anyone. When someone mentioned "Freedom Fries", the collective nation just about gagged at the pettiness. Just thought I'd mention that. Oh, and we never bash the brits, only the french heh

Mad problems, not caused by me though.

It was enough for him at the time. It seems to be mostly a formality; it's obvious we don't shape our policy according to the UN all the time.

You also shoudl check into stage hypnosis, where the hypnotist makes suggestions about what the participants are eating. The show I went to the participants were eating lemons as if they were apples and they seemed to be enjoying it. Then he told them what they were eating and then were gagging, puckering, etc etc. Just something to look into, not really something I would base my paper on though

I don't really see a problem with it, if the need arises. Edit: On second read, it's a bit overboard maybe, especially interfering with private companies satellites. At first I thought it was just mentioning other nation's satellites or space programs that were designed or could be (are being, in a time of war) used to disrupt our own. I think the government would approach it more carefully than the document laid it out.

I believe "today" is defined as "the last 24-hours", but it can be changed pretty easily I'm sure. I don't know why it's not, that's strange. Regardless, I'll look into both issues this weekend.

But if you actually look, you'll see that something like 41% of motor vehicle fatalities involved alcohol in 2002. 41%. I think you'll see that other factors are involved while driving sober (cell phones, food, makeup, passangers, etc.).

Some context might help on this one.
