  1. That's not FOX News, thats the opinion of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, which are OPENLY CONSERVATIVE. The point is that they're OPEN ABOUT THEIR BIAS. If you don't like it, turn it off. They're not trying to disguise themselves as something they are not. The reason you hate Hannity so much is because he is right, and that makes people like you angry. No, it makes you frothing at the mouth furious. Oh, and I see no mention of Hannity's counter-part Colmes, who happens to be a liberal and sitting right next to Hannity the whole time. WRONG. He calls anyone that votes a great american. And if you'd like to provide a source for Hannity lambasting a kid for "not wanting to be drafted", I'd be glad to take a look. He was probably chewing into someone for saying they'd avoid the draft. Anyone who is honest with themselves does not want to be drafted. So basically FOX News is a horrid, wretched entity for being biased, but it's cool if a liberal is a little biased. Typical liberal.
  2. So just what DID Moore mean? It was obvious that he was talking about a sizeable protest to the president's inauguration. "Mostly accurate" or "partly inaccurate"? It's only tradition to walk the last block, though some presidents walk the last mile. The Clintons only walked the last half-block. The tradition is to get out and walk, and GW Bush did so. Michael Moore said the plan to have Bush get out of the limousine and walk was scrapped, and it wasn't. Fair enough, I will give you that point. It is not 'factually incorrect'. But it is contextually incorrect especially since michael moore implies that the Saudi's connections with Bush bought their ticket out of the country. Moore: 'Cuz $1.4 billion doesn't just buy a lot of flights out of the country, it buys a lot of love." The point of all my posts is that Michael Moore is deceptive throughout the whole film. For example:
  3. Anyhow, I'm obviously nitpicking, but when someone states that Michael Moore had a team of people check all his "facts" and they were all true, it only takes one untrue statement to nullify it.
  4. He was deployed that month, plenty of time for Mr. Moore to change his the word "one" to "two".

  7. If you're voting for Kerry, please state why you are here. I'm not fishing for arguments, I'm just trying to get a feel for why people are voting kerry.
  8. Do we spend enough on space exploration?
  9. Another good way to test this is to make a triangle with both hands by overlapping your thumbs and the top half of your fingers. The triangle should be small enough so that you can see with only one eye when your hands are next to your face. Pick an object 10 feet or so away and look through the traingle at your target. Keep both eyes open and move the triangle towards your face while looking at the target. Your triangle end up over your dominant eye. I'm right handed and left eyed.
  10. Check your tasks to make sure there isn't a hidden IE window running in the background. I had the same problem for awhile.
  11. Hence the 10 minute prep talk involving lots of hypnotic suggestions.

  13. At first it appeared somewhat fake to me. After talking to the people on stage for around 10 minutes he eliminated some people. Then, he basically told them to 'sleep' and they all almost instantly slumped over. But I began to notice little things about people that indicated that perhaps something was really happening, and that they weren't just performing. For example, two people hit heads really, really hard when he put them to sleep. Neither of them flinched or gave any indication that they felt it. In fact, they hit heads again next time. I would assume that if they were faking it, both of them would take steps to ensure that their heads did not collide again. The transformation of people's mentality seemed to change completely. One guy he pulled on stage was extremely shy and obviously a little embarassed to be up there. An hour later he thought he was the star in a river-dance performance. He was alone on stage, awkwardly dancing his heart out. It just seemed that he had almost a complete lack of inhibition. He was also dead serious about his performance. Some of the things that happened were hilarious, but the people who were on stage rarely laughed as long as they were involved in the scene. They didn't even smile. There were around 15 people on stage and often times he would single out people to do something. Sometimes though, a person sitting 10 chairs away would start performing even though the hypnotist was talking to someone else. I figured that if they were faking, they would have known that they were not supposed to perform at that time. The way he chose people to go on stage was to toss a ball back over his head into the audience. Whoever caught it could go on stage unless they didn't want to. That person would then toss the ball back over their head and the next person who caught it could go on stage. This continued until he had 15 people. It was obviously random and so no preparation beforehand went on.
  14. Very well, read the story at CNN in yourself. The images were just bonus.

  18. I went to a stage hypnotism show today which was very entertaining. I'd like some opinions on whether what is taking place is (a) real (b) moral © looked down upon by the psychology profession...

At the course in Tampa they play "Capture the Bucket". The advantage of the bucket is that you can use it to somewhat shield yourself. Unfortunately, it only covers half your body, so watch out belooww! The matches usually last around 20 minutes. It sucks to be the first one out though :\

I've never tried airsoft. Paintballs are stinking expensive though :\ Here's a picture of my incident: http://www.blike.com/paintballing/DSC00054.jpg My brother gets hit in the face a lot: http://www.blike.com/paintballing/DSC00055.jpg
  23. See ABC News which quotes "Organizers said as many as 20,000 people would take part in the weekend demonstrations, the most since President Richard Nixon's second inauguration in 1973." From CNN "Not since 1973, when 60,000 protesters entered Washington to express their displeasure with the second inauguration of Richard Nixon, have so many activists been expected to try to get their divergent points across on a new president's day of anointment." Some 20,000 turned up to protest Bush. Not so. "Mr Bush delighted supporters by getting out of his limousine and walked the last block of the parade, holding hands with his wife Laura." The highest ranking official to approve the flights was Richard Clarke. See pages 328-329 here (9/11 commission report, massive PDF, be forewarned). Sergeant Brooks Johnson, Duncan Hunter.

Yikes! I've never been hit in the neck, but I got hit on the top of the head where the mask doesn't protect. There were about 40 of us playing the woods. There were only a handful of people left on each team when my brother, myself, and one other person got cornered between a few trees and the boundary. In a situation like that, you know you're going to end up getting lit up. So I decide to have the other two cover me while I make a suicide run. I had hoped that the cover fire would cause the other team members to duck behind cover, and I would run around and suprise them. Didn't quite work that way. My brother forgot to cover me [or did it to spite me]. I ran out into a hailstorm of paintballs. I instinctively turned my face to the ground. That's when I felt 3 or 4 paintballs absolutely pound my skull It felt like someone was throwing rocks at my head. I fell backwards and curled up into a fetal position and felt like dying for a few seconds. It was one of the worst feelings I have ever felt.
