  1. I just finished watching Star Trek I, and right at the end Kirk describes the heading as, "Out there, thataways." I was like, man, if I was kirk, I'd throw the inertial dampers out a bit, be like chucking your car into 1st and footting it to the floor for 5 seconds. That would be sweet at warp 6.
  2. Oh, right. Thanks.
  3. On the moon it would not have a terminal velocity. Now I forgot how to work out escape velocity, but I'm pretty sure your moon bullet would return at the same speed it left. [edit] Tarnation. I missed this last page.. consider this post a recap.

    Cars

Holy gawd. That better be in yuen. I'm $1968/yr CAD on my civic. Thats like 1600 USD. Mind you its like 1.8 '84 but... w/e. I'd be the exact same on a 5 litre Camero for some odd reason.
  5. Haha. This reminds me of when you see funny old foreign people wearing T-Shirts that say, "My other wife is a super model" etc.
  6. It's 3 years old. At least its from a real yearbook, unlike those taken with so called "digital cameras." Modern technology... fooey. [edit] Good on ya' dave. I prefer it bottled though.
  7. I noticed earlier. Nothing is foolproof though.
  8. Alot of threads are being labeled with obscure or nonsensical titles these days. Check out the home page. I think it would be a good idea to give a better indication of what our threads are about in the future, to save confusion and attract more people to the posts. I'm not saying I haven't been guilty of this before, this is just a reminder.
  9. radical guys, thanks
  10. Mercury's orbital period is 1/4 that of ours, so it makes a complete orbit around the sun almost 4 times per year. The result is that Earth appears to be changing orbital direction, when compared with Mercury, when it is overtaken. There is not much to it. [edit] Glad I could be of service. *scratches head*
  11. But if you simulated it properly it would be the same, and comparison would be rendered useless. I don't think I get what you wish to achieve.
  12. yes, but to what end?
  13. blike's new one reminded me of just how lonely I really am... \o/ lol \o/ {o_ funny how happy people can make you sad. *laughs, cries*
  14. NASA test proves scramjet technology works, and breaks aeronautical speed record for air breathing engines. http://www.universetoday.com/am/publish/x43_proves_scramjet.html?742004
  15. Economic Left/Right: -1.50 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.49 Interesting. I dislike everyone in the top left, distrust everyone in the top right, and would invite everyone in the bottom left to dinner if I could. I don't understand how, with all the like minded people in here, we still live in such an unstable society. Where are these people coming from?
  16. An international cooking section would also be beneficial. It might help with the "dates" part.

    Good job.

I was just looking through the main index of the site in awe of all the nifty gadgets there are and how easy it is to do what I want. Then I realized: this is one of the best sites ever created. Good job guys. You win the "One of the best sites ever created, so says alt_f13" award. Bravo... Bravo.
  18. Anything interesting happenning in the way of deep space probes lately?
  19. This is a clear example of why babblefish should be updated/deleted from existance.

    About Time

Damn your infernal omnipotence. That was a humorus post you deleted.
  21. How would the waveform look? And on a related subject, does the white light coming from our computer screens have a pattern in its waveform? Combined average per pixel I mean. I would assume it does.
  22. I was only quoting you because I found it humorous. I know there is no evidence for what I was saying, and would not even imply so called "philosophical evidence." The idea just seemed intriguing. Sorry, but I don't know anything about the structure of an argument. Perhaps you should rephrase what it was that I misunderstood. I don't get it. Rephrase?
  23. That's radical, edward.
