Ay guys. I heard of the combined medical programs that allow you to automatically go to medical school without taking the MCATs or going through all the stress of applying to medical school. However, they are highly competitive and require much interviews and have a rigorous admissions process. Does any1 go to these programs? I think I was accepted to the Brooklyn college one, but i dunno if i should go in? Are they good?

Red i feel for you man...I had the same situation too. I told this girl (my friend) that i liked her and she never looked at me in the same way again. It seemed like she tried to avoid me and whenever I said hi, she would quickly look away. She was the best girl ever...i knew more than i knew the other girls...and to lose her as a friend hurts so much. Maybe I should not have said that I liked her...

Hello guys. Im a student ready to go to college. But ive been under much stress lately...choosing my major in college, AP exams, leaving high school, girl problems...i dunno what to do...im ready to give up on life
-
I dunno guys...but i kinda agree. I mean...look around us..we do things like robots. If you guys analyze yur own lives, youll see that we do the same things over and overand over and over and over again... Sure, there are some things in life that are worth enjoying, but what are the chances of someone breaking their lonely lifestyle to go for that bungee jump??

wait...snakes could probably retain legs becuase they are vestigial structures. If you examine a snake's bones, you can see tiny legs in all of them (inside the body). So maybe there still could be snakes that had some mutation and grew legs?

well i heard of accounts that the Mokele was a dinosaur-like creature!

well, 1st of all, yur substitutin z from elements fo teh same equation...i dunt think it will yield anythin that way.(ex: y+r = 2 --> r= 2-y --> y+(2-y) = 2 --> 0=0?) So i dunt know if yur method is valid. Does the problem give any other information?

I used the formula for powerseries for cos x --> 1 - (x^2)/2! + (x^4)/4! - (x^6)/6! + (x^8)/8! ... in which i plugged in x^3 as the function for x (the function was cos (x^3). That was how i got my power series.
-
use formula for area of circle to figure out yur ans
-
yea i did. But i got more disparate ans every time i evaluated a term. For example, since it was an alternating series, the first term would be 3, then the next term like -50, then 200, then -700, 10000, -23462456....sumthin like that. The ans get farther and farther away with each term. Maybe im doin it wrong...
-
OK now im CONFUSED. I dunt know how ot get the ans to this problem. I tried power series but i dunt think its a viable method cuz the power series of a cos function or sin function will be an alternating series. How could you get the position at t = 3?
-
OH WAIT nvr mind stupid me, i just realized you need both x and y coordinates for a position sry, dave can you help me figure out this problem? http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/...ad.php?t=20115
-
wait hold on a sec...do i need to do power series of both the x and y functions? Dont i need to do it only for the x function? why the sin(t^2)??
-
:-( :-( too muich work oh well might as well try it out, i gotta review power series anyway. Thanx guys!
-
yes ive learned power series but i dunno how that would help in this problem If power series do work, can sum1 help me? i dunt really know how ot apply them to this situation. Oh yea Matt grime yur a maths expert can you help?
-
oh and dave one more thing, do you think you could help me figure out another problem? Its on the Homework forum, and youll see that it was my name as the thread starter. Here's the link: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20115
-
And yea, as long as the method approximate the position at t = 3, yea i think its ok
-
oh yea the class is AP Calculus BC, i havent learned how ot integrate that type of problem yet
-
Hey dave. Yes I know it's very hard to integrate that equation. No, its not for fun, its a take home test for easter break . I think there's a way you can at east approximate it...do you know how?
-
Can sum1 help me figure this Calculus problem out??

kk thnx ill try it out...Any other other help any1?
