  3. yea i think a carbon nanotube setup could be possible. but remember that bones are porous and are not compleatly solid...i belive that they need to be this way so if you had a normal bone that was interlaced with carbon nanotubes holding it together better would provide the extra strength and the body would still be able to repair. or have some sort of biologicly inert metal interlaced into bone might be an improvement. (kinda like rebar in concrete)
  4. i believe teeth are but i guess that would still qualify as bone Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged yes but since most people think of it as some ubber strong super material it works in the movies

  10. why not use lexan containers? more expensive yes but the material is very strong and stable. i would trust it more then the other containers (some degrade leaving the plastic in your water which you then drink)
  11. its easy to convert the computer supply to a lap power supply just do a quick google search, i did it and it was very easy. also laptop chargers have lots of power my old one is 18.7v at 4.9A Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged yea the great thing about the computer supply is you get a 3.3, 5 , 12 volt outputs at pretty high amperage

  16. well i am a recent element collecter and i have extras and i am also missing some elements and i was wondering if anyone is interested in trades what i need: k Ca Rb Sr Cs Ba Hf Os Te Po B Th U i have plenty of extras of most of the other elements (except the "rare earths") Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged FIREPROOF SAFES CONTAIN WATER!!!!! they use it in the insulation. NOT a good idea IMO! a plain steel safe would be a better option i think. i cut one open a a while ago and the insulation is very moist. test the humidity inside one if you done belive me. a friend stored a gun in one fore a couple years and the humidity here in idaho is low so we usually dont have t worry too much about rust....well his gun was rusted very badly compared to the ones in his steel safe Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedi have lots of iodine, sulfur, zinc, aluminum (acid etched showing crystal structure) a little bit of Be some Nb powder, about 20 grams of indium wire, Mo evaporation boats, 5x5"x.010 Mo sheet, Mo rod, Ti rod, tungsten rod, Ni electrolytic pieces, spool of .005" Tantalum wire, Ti sponge and crystals, bismuth, cadmium, some chromium, tin, a little diamond powder, lead, small amount of arsenic, antimony lots of SI, and a little cobalt. so if you need any of these and have something to trade let me know and tritium about 3 years old so has plenty of glow left.
  17. ok so im sure there are plenty of other members on here that collect elements and when we do we usually end up with more then we need for our sample. I have lots of extras and wold love to trade what i need: k Ca Rb Sr Cs Ba Hf Os Te Po B Th U I know i can buy these but i figured if i can work out a trade with someone its better for both parties im new here so sorry if this is in the wrong section
  18. well when i was at the doc the other day they put me on the ;ulse oxygen monitor thing and my O2 was 97-99% so any extra oxygen wouldn't benefit my body since i had about 98% avg. so i guess a 2% increase might help some but not noticeably.
