  1. I would think the poison from a puffer fish would produce a little more zombie like characteristics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrodotoxin
  2. Today's wide field lens eyepieces are much better than the old pinholes IMO
  3. Agreed - the most educational science show aimed at the masses, with Nova Science Now a close second. I worry though what will fill the void when they leave? So far spinoffs like Smashlab and such have been garbage.

  10. Thanks, I will make sure to heat up a gram or so prior.
  11. I have a quick question that I hope some of you all may be able to help with – every year I do the gummy bear molten potassium chlorate demo to illustrate Cellular Respiration. However after speaking with another science teacher in the area he told me I probably shouldn’t do this demo due to the high risk of impurities in the potassium chlorate – which could lead to disastrous results. Do any of you have any experience with this, or maybe elaborate more on the risks? Thanks
  12. Greetings! I am new to this forum as visible by my posting on this thread. I have been teaching biology here in Kansas for five years now and have a deep passion for science education.
