Which point a or x on the graph would approach one other? How do you know? Because at the "a" point, the slope can be significally different than at the "x" point. At "a" the slope would be negative and at the "x" the slope would be zero or teeny positive. ???

Evidence of Human Common Ancestry
EvoN1020v replied to Radical Edward's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
bascule and Xyph, you guys are obessive with the Technogolical Age (modern) where I do agree with your implies that we have control over our geneic level. I won't be surprised if we still look the same in millions of years in the future, because there are too many humans on Earth right now to converse. But from the start, I was talking the period when Earth formed in the Prehistoric period, where there are no technology advances or any single things like we have today. Also there are fewer population of hamo sapiens, therefore the evolution race can happen without a problem. What do you think? -

Thanks for the clearance! I was wondering what "strong force" and "weak force" are though? -
Evidence of Human Common Ancestry
EvoN1020v replied to Radical Edward's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
Listen bascule, I'm talking about trillions of millions of years, and you don't think there are many "selection pressures" that can affect our genes? Get the avian flu for instance. Orginally Spanish flu appeared in 1918, and then stowed for several centuries, then it popped in 2005 in a slight different form. I mentioned my theory of "stowing' in other thread, but that is what happened. I mean DNAs don't stay the same for trillions of millions of years, because I'm sure the DNAs would eliminate some teeny tiny bit of proteins and overtime it can eliminate a signifcant physical property. -
Here is the brink of my new reading on "derivatives". The defintion of derivative is "The derivative tells us how to approximate a graph, near some base point, by a straight line". Mainly it is related with the tangent line on graphs. I need a review of tangent lines!! Tangent line is between 2 points on a curve slope, get [math]x^2[/math] for instance. I forgot how to find the single middle point on a tangent by some kind of formula?

I just found out that it's just a plain water with the temperature between cold and hot. Mild soap would be like the "Dove" for example?

I thought so!! In this new case, what is a lukewarm water?

Evidence of Human Common Ancestry
EvoN1020v replied to Radical Edward's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
IMPRESSIVE THREAD!! I have never took a single biology course but I understand abit of what you guys are talking about. Most of this posts were intend to discuss about Darwin's theory of evolution, isn't it? Well I'm a Catholic, and "they" usually believe that God make those hamo sapiens in the first place. But to me, science kinda empowers over my religious beliefs. I do believe that over time the chorosomes of the hamo sapiens have been adjusted slightly and changed into the modern humans today. (Who knows what we will look like in the future??!!) I mean there has to be some scienific proof, because in the bible, in the story of Genesis, Adam and Eve were the first humans on the Earth, right? As the image of them since Earth's birth look very similiar to the modern humans today seem unreal. I don't know how the exact form of humans would live through the trillions of years through the Ice Age, Prehistoric Period, and so on.... Anyway the point is that the posted theory seem more apporiately to me. Once again, nice thread by Radical Edward! -
Yeah you are right BobbyJoeCool.

Thanks Dr Finlay and BobbyJoeCool. I understand the limit part now, but not the derivative part. I am taking advanced calculus next semester, but I'm very curious about them. I guess I'll do some googling.

Using electricity instead of chemicals to kill weeds
EvoN1020v replied to swacholtz's topic in Ecology and the Environment
I'm not exactly sure if you could actually targeting weeds in a garden with vegetables and fruits. Also, I'm not sure if the soil have enough water to allow the free flowing of electricty (conductor). If it does, then it would affect the whole garden because plants share the same chemical properties. -
How come house flies have metallic green/yellow color type skin?
EvoN1020v replied to Bio-Hazard's topic in Biology
If you want an unscienific defention... well, flies were made by God. God made them for who they are. -
HUH? Your links are no big help to me. They are not even working! Plus, it will only direct me to a crap dictionary. What does the limit indicate for? Like lim x=pi/2. Does it mean only x value less or equal to pi/2? Also, what does Devrivates mean? Give me examples won't hurt. Thanks

I am unsure which is correct: e.g. [math] y = \cos2(x-\pi)+3 [/math] Can it be defined as [math]y=\cos(2x-2\pi)+3[/math]? Following the basic equation of y = AsinB(x-c)+D, does the above example means it have an vertical translation of 2 and phase shift of 2pi to the right? [i know the graph will appear the exact same regardless, but I want to know which equation is more correct to draw graphs.]

Sorry BobbyJoeCool I mistyped my answer!! I got the same answer as you did, but I did it in a shorter method than yours. Yours seem like forever to type! THE WAY I DID WAS: [math] \sin(3\alpha) = \sin(2\alpha + \alpha) [/math] [math] =\sin2{\alpha}\cos{\alpha} + \cos2{\alpha}\sin{\alpha} [/math] [math] =(2\sin\alpha\cos\alpha)\cos\alpha + (\cos^2\alpha - \sin^2\alpha)\sin\alpha [/math] THEREFORE THE ANSWER IS: [math] \rightarrow2\sin\alpha\cos^2\alpha + \cos^2\alpha\sin\alpha - \sin^3\alpha [/math]

I got this anti-bacterial acne gel that have Benzoyl peroxide gel USP 5%. Can I decompose the chemical or it would be easier just go to the store and buy some hydrogen peroxide solution? [ce](H2O2)[/ce]

Are you insane? I'm not going to put my rather nice shoes in the washing machine!! It'll get all tore up and become into an useless junk!!!

Dilute means you combine bleach with water? If so, by how many v/v%?

Don't anyone here watch "ReGenesis"?!! I just recently watched the show tonight (October 24th) and wow, my eyes were glued to the TV screen. It discussed about the "Bucky Ball" the rather most amazing symmertical carbon sphere I have ever known. It contains 60 carbon atoms and it physically can be compressed and then be bounced back. I just brought my spirit up because I understand most of the dialogues on the show. It's just an amazing show. Also, the show even extract some of our knowledge from sciencesucks.com.

I have provided myself with more challenging question: [math]\sin(3\alpha)[/math] The answer I got was [math]2\sin{\alpha}\cos^2\cos{\alpha} + \cos^2{\alpha}\sin{\alpha} - \sin^3{\alpha}[/math] Is this correct?

Thanks xulec for your such inspiring experience. So I just use regular bleach and soak it in water?

To provide you some clear image of what my shoe look like, click here for an image of my shoe. I don't think it's exact leather, but the fabrics is very soft. You can see the wrinkles at the front of the shoe. Some dirts would struck in the wrinkles. That could help, because I don't need to buy a huge package of bleach for just a teeny job. (My washer don't use bleach). Or you guys can be more specific to which kind of bleach and brand I should use to clean my shoes.

Are you serious? Then how is it possible that I used bleach to wash my clothes in a washing machine, and the shirts didn't deteriorate or rot like you thought? Don't you mind to give me an example of organic materials? Thanks
