Snail I whole heartedly agree with everything you just said but you cant deny her show isn't addictive. Trisha drives me nuts but the lure of watching pregnant teen, hermaphrodite crack heads in the morning is just too much for me to change the channel. Thank God I dont get channel 5 in my new house. I suggest displacing Trisha with Jeremy Kyle, he's is a complete legend (at least comparativly)

At the top of my garden I have a small summer house which I use over the summer for barbeques, small gatherings and sleeping in if its warm enough. However everytime I have people round, the inevitable happens and candles get knocked onto the floor or cigarettes dropped which is a bit dangerous as I have a big fluffy carpet that catches alight really easily. I'm a bit paranoid about this as I can imagine one day the whole thing will go up in flames. Anyway I have been told about a fireproofing spray you can buy but I cant seem to find it anywhere, so I was wondering, do any of you know of any chemicals I could use to temporarily fireproof this carpet, or even better my whole summer house?

AFAIK potassium permanganate/aluminium flash powder can be ignited with water and the both chemicals are relatively easy to obtain. However it's also sensitive to friction so it probably isn't suitable for rockets.

Just realised how incrediably pointless this question is, I really should have ate something other than pasta today, ah well.

I'm talking about dry pasta, almost all dry pasta and spaghetti takes 10 minutes to boil, pretty much regardless of size shape etc however you can also buy quick cook pasta (also dry) which only takes a few minutes in boiling water.

Really silly question I know, but I cant work it out... What is it that accounts for the difference in cooking time between quick cook pasta (the one that takes 5 minutes in boiling water) and normal pasta. Are they made from different ingredients or is one partially cooked already?

True nicotine is a stimulant but it is also known as a depressant at the same time. Although the effect of satisfying your cravings would be significant, the neurological changes which occur when nicotine is absorbed e.g. release of dopamine, would also be relaxing

I think the belief is because humans were given free will and the chance to become deified, we are thought to be fasioned in God's image unlike animals such as dinosaurs who do not have the ability to moral choices etc. The statment shouldn't be taken literally as in God looks like a human.

I remember seeing a similar computer in the milllenium dome which constantly generated random music, never repeating itself. I'm sure if I listened long enough there might of been snippets of music that I liked, but the majority was just really cheesy and got on my nerves. I guess it was a lot like the dome itself in that way.

When i'm really bored I always go out on my bike and try and get lost. Thats always fun.

Try going for a run every morning or just taking regular exercise. It always helps me during exam time.

True, there are a few people who start smoking becasue it is ''cool'' but the vast majority of people smoke because nicotine is a mild stimulant/relaxant therefore makes smoking pleasurable. If this was taken away, apart from the 'cool' people, unless you liked the taste of tobacco, most people wouldn't smoke as it would be pointless. It would be like people going out and going on non-alcoholic drink binges. Personally i'm not addicted to smoking, but I still enjoy a cigarette with a drink on the odd occasion, maybe once a month, and i'm certainly not doing it to be 'cool'
