  1. no i dont think there will be any change, The relativistic mass is said to increase when there is a change in the frame of reference, ie- one object changes frame and moves to another accelerating to 80%c, here there is no change and thus no effect arises, however if you consider the initial condition as the object being at rest, it may change as explained by Strotidog
  2. my idea of MWI is relatively a simple and maybe a little interesting..... We live in a four dimensional world, now think that if any of these dimension gets altered can you see the people living in those four dimensions:-NO As we know we have to have a proper length, proper breadth and width or time, if any of these gets altered by diminishing or changing co-ordinates, we are not longer existing in our world, Now consider hwo many possible universes can possibly exist, Now one more point:- Every such universes will again have their four unique dimesnions which alternately leads to again further possibility, This makes our many world interpretation quite understandable..........
  3. it simply depends upon frequency of collision and according to uncertainty principle there is no constant no. of collisions, it is all probability, and the movement of alpha particle also cannot exactly be predicted ACCORDING TO MY KNOWLEDGE
  4. look yamum, simply understand one thing- When you talk about near light velocities, your general idea of space time or your logic or your self reasoning which is described by newtionian mechanics fails. Consider it similar to thinking about the end point or horizon of our universe.
  5. Simply Special Relativity deals with object travelling with constant velocity comparable to light speed And General Relativity deals with accelerations in space-time
  6. basically i wouldn't say that there will be any change........... you are kind of mixing general and special theory consequences, When according to special theory, the mass of one will increase, then relatively the mass of other will consequently increase, then it will be upon which of the object has changed its frame of reference. And according to GTR the gravity influence changes only if the body is accelerating relative to observer, and in this case its 80% c, so basically its not accelerating, but then we will also have to consider the effects of circular motion, if it is not a constant circular motion results might vary........

    E=mc2

    My view of seeing it is as follows:- d/dx of General Relativity= Special Relativity d/dx of Special Relativity= Newtonian Mechanics In other words, Newtonian is a mechanics of small speeds, where as special relativity is a mechanics in smaller acc. tending to zero. However in my view there is no flaw in any theory, its just a change in perception that we have because of the change in our way to see the approximations.
  8. Hi This is Adarsh Ranjan, I have quite been interested in theoritical physics for almost years now. But i frankly am quite kept to myself because of the fact that people hardly know much of it. So i am here to talk freely and discuss aspects of the subject with other lovers of theoritical physics.
