Yes, the output of your series is 3.141 but pi being 3.141592653589..... it rounds to 3.142 for 4 place accuracy so 3.141 is not accurate to 4 places, only 3. Just because you've computed it to 4 places does not mean your result is accurate to 4 places.

So, are you an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist?

There are no problems with nature creating the world except for people that just want to make up an answer because they don't have the patience for science.
-
You're right since there's no evidence for any god(s). I'm glad you finally said something I could agree with
-
You do realize that many species exhibit adolescent behavior like juvenile rebellion, it's not just us.
-
No, neither is evidence at all. There is NO evidence for Santa Claus and NO evidence for any god(s).

Go to WolframAlpha and just click on more digits to get the precision you want.

The bible is nothing but a collection of hearsay written by storytellers through the ages. It is not evidence of anything but the existence of storytellers. Why don't you try presenting some of that other "way more" evidence you think you have? We're waiting...

Why is there a reputation system?

If I give you negative rep because I think the quality of your post is poor I owe you no justification for doing so. I am free to express my opinion whether of not you agree or disagree with it. -

There is no breakdown. It's a way for the membership here to vote up or down the quality of the content of a post. The only one's offended are those that make poor quality posts like ad hominem attacks that get voted down by the membership. -
Answer the question. You indicated that a large enough quantity of believers makes something true. Now, quit prevaricating and support your assertion. BTW, there is ZERO evidence for deities!

So it's really just a different series representation as post #71 above.....

So you could choose to find men sexually arousing if you chose to even today? Personally I don't believe you. I never made a choice. Somewhere along the way girls starting making me feel aroused down below, girls that I found visually attractive to me. Men have never been visually attractive to me and I couldn't choose to make it that way now even if I wanted to. Nature chose for me. BTW, here are hordes of other animals that display homosexual behavior. Do you think they all made a choice too?
-
So you just made a choice one day that you were going to start seeing girls as sexually attractive instead of icky? It was a conscious choice you made? You feel that if you wanted to you could just choose to be sexually aroused by men?

The vast majority of the world's children believe in Santa Clause. Do you think that is evidence that Santa Clause is real?

How do websites trigger a plug-in message?
doG replied to Baby Astronaut's topic in Computer Science
Browsers usually take care of that automatically. Some media types like Adobe Flash or Shockwave do have some parameters for the embedded object to provide a download link for the appropriate plugin. You'd have to look at their documentation for details. -
Scientology is a sham religion useful to it's followers for using the IRSes tax exempt status for churches. People like Tom Cruise can donate millions to the church that he writes off, they pay no taxes on, and he gets to spend as a high member of the church. L Ron Hubbard was the mastermind that figured out that he could create a fictional religion and use it against the government to keep more of his money. I've actually considered becoming an ordained atheist so I can do something similar with the money I could earn officiating things like gay weddings

Are you messaging him by usename or IP? Username and or machine name addressing may fail if you're not using a domain controller. If you are using static IPs on your network you could make an entry in the hosts file on each machine to aid name resolution.

I disagree. High performance computing systems are the most demanding systems requiring the most uptime. Today's supercomputers are most often used for HPC applications. Most modern supercomputers use the Linux operating system, each manufacturer has made its own specific changes to the Linux-derivative they use, and no industry standard exists, partly due to the fact that the differences in hardware architectures require changes to optimize the operating system to each hardware design. I don't think you'll find any that use Windows due to it's high frequency downtime. BTW, most air traffic control systems run on Unix because of it's high reliability since the blue screen of death would be quite a literal result with Windows.

Just because something is religious does not make it a religion, i.e. just because you have a fervent belief in something does not mean it is a system of beliefs. This discussion has been centered around your fervent belief in your worldview, not your evidence to support a scientific hypothesis.
-
Religion is about beliefs regardless of the facts and science is about facts regardless of beliefs. So far you've presented nothing but your beliefs and opinion in this thread, no supported facts at all. Thus far this thread has been a religious discussion.

For some concentrations of medicine the difference could be deadly. I'd hardly call that insignificant.

Citation? Feynman simply said that the properties of a positron are the same as what the properties of an electron moving backwards in time would be. Just because they write about what scenarios would be required does not mean they believe it is actually possible. Having you any supporting citations to show they actually believe in time travel? Another "he doesn't condemn it so he must believe in it" assertion. A false dichotomy and another strawman to boot. Care to try again? Can you actually name any genuine physicists that actually believe in time travel?
