1. Rock on Israel. Keep it up until the Arab world sees that Hamas is the problem, not Israel. When a boy in the village pokes the hornet's nest with a stick and his neighbors get stung then they should take up their problem with the boy, not the hornets.
2. I think a good lawyer could make a case that such names amount to child abuse, possibly even assault. Social services should petition the local juvenile court to have a guardian ad litem appointed for these kids whom should then exercise their responsibilities under the law to protect the best interests of these children.
3. Compromise among individuals here serves to propagate a meme to others in our lives outside of this community. On the subject currently discussed it could aid the propagation of the tolerance or intolerance of gay marriage. In a society that utilizes a representative government the propagation of such a meme can ultimately affect the overall policy regarding our local topic of discussion. Bear in mind as well that many of us attempt to propagate our position as a meme across other online communities so it does make a difference in the long run.
4. Try changing your SQL line to: strSQL = "SELECT Courses_Table.Course_title FROM Courses_Table WHERE (((Courses_Table.Course_code)='" & Combo0.Value & "'));" so that the value passed to the WHERE clause in enclosed in single quotes.
5. In the left margin of the code window click next to the beginning of the subroutine and a red icon should appear indicating a breakpoint. This will halt the code from executing as soon as the subroutine begins. With the code halted you can execute the code one line at a time with the F8 key. Step through to the line strSQL = .... but not past it. Pause your mouse pointer over the cboCode.Value in that line and a tooltip should pop up and show you the current value. That way you'll know it's passing the variable you need. F8 to the next line and see what happens. Then some more. You can pause your mouse over strSQL to see the actual SQL string. Sometimes this will reveal what is happening.
6. An alternative is putting all of the SQL statement on one line without breaking it up. Try strSQL = "SELECT Courses_Table.Course_title FROM Courses_Table WHERE (((Courses_Table.Course_code)=" & Combo0.Value & "));"
7. This may have something to do with your version of Access. Try changing that line to "Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(strSQL,dbOpenDynaset)" The type argument should be optional but might not be in later versions of Access. At some point they switched from DAO to ADO and the behavior of some of the older DAO methods changed.
8. I think it would be a fair practice to reserve supplies of this year's flu vaccine for this group and give the rest of them last year's vaccine

Thoughts?
11. Winzip or WinAce? Xef is a WinAce file extension.
12. Why should that surprise you? It should be evident from reading this thread that there are plenty of people that could care less about any rights for a minority If only some of these people would realize that we're all members of one or more minorities....
13. Just say "attack the message, not the messenger"...
14. False. Incest has genetic consequences. Interracial couples and other examples don't have the same problems.
15. Why should that last point be pertinent to ALL gay marriages? Prop. 8 was about blocking all gay marriage, not just the ones that might involve children. BTW, aren't children that only have one parent also deprived of the same male/female developmental influence? Should they be removed from such homes?
16. It's mentioned right there in the first three words, "We the people.....". Doesn't that mean all of us?
17. Just think, we let mobs like that vote too. Are such voters really interested in what's best for us all or are they just thinking of themselves?
18. I wasn't suggesting it as a point source but simply an alternate parallel source to experiment with to see what difference it has on the focus....
19. For parallel rays you could trying photographing the sun through a welding filter....
20. She's a natural born citizen at 68 years of age and has been a resident in the U.S. all of her life so she meets all of the criteria for succession that I know of.
21. There's no line of succession for VP though. Amendment 25 specifies that: I do realize there's not a chance in hell that both houses of congress would actually confirm Condi for VP but then again, I was only making an antagonistic joke
22. How 'bout he resigns now so Cheney becomes President. Cheney appoint Condi as VP and then he resigns two weeks later. Now Condi gets to be the first black President and the first woman President Then maybe Condi could invade Iran.....
23. This is exactly the point. The majority decided it didn't like the court's interpretation of the law so they put the issue on the ballot so they could use mob rule to oppress the minority the court ruled in favor of. What next? Maybe all the poor people will get a measure on the ballot calling for a 100% tax on all assets over $10000 so the government can send free checks to the poor. We all belong to one or more minorities. Where does it stop?
24. Please name the States that DO NOT have a House of Representatives in their own structure. They all use representative democracy, a republic, as opposed to direct democracy. As far as I know they are all technically Constitutional Republics.
25. Again, we are not a democracy. I didn't imply that amendments could not be overturned or slavery returned. I only asked if it would be right to do so. The only point made is that a will of the majority does not necessarily make it right. That is why the founders chose a republic.
