How do they find out how other animals see the world as?

So, it can’t really float in space?? Say we place it in space with no initial motion to begin with. Will it start “accelerating” toward where it can find gravity?

What will happen if you drop an atom in space? Will it stay put or start moving?

Fair comment, but no one should be allowed to talk about family... its disgraceful!

This is all very technical but I am actually asking a simple question here. I understand I have confused everyone in the process. I am sorry! This is what I was thinking. Remember what I said about if our eyes were 2x magnified, we would see the world twice the size including our selves. If we see a marble on the floor we will reach out and pick it up. Because we see our hands as twice the size and the marble as twice the size we would pick things up as normal. We will not even know that we are seeing things in 2x magnification. Another way to think about this is, just imagine how we see the world now. We see normal and now think of this normal viewing of the world is actually 2x magnification. Another way to think about this is, imagine if everything we see is actually twice the size and the way we see things is -2x magnification, so we will see things as we see now, right? Does anyone understand what I am trying to say here??? My head is going CRAZY!!!

Answer this.. Everyone in this world dies. 1000 years go by… God comes down and resurrects everyone but before he resurrects everyone he gives everyone 2x magnification eyes. Say we forget how we saw the world in our previous life!! Will we wake up and carry on as normal?? Will we carry on as normal although our eyes see things twice as large and we would think this is normal but actually it was twice as small in our previous life!! Have I lost you?

Apparently Materazzi pulled Zidanes shirt and Zidane responded by “If you really want my shirt, you can have it at the end of the match”.. Classic!! This must have got Materazzi wound up and he had no other way to come back for Zidanes comment other that getting his family involved, which Materazzi knew would provoke Zidane to do something silly!!! Now are you able to explain that in plain English? ) Ok, I think I have confused everyone and I just can’t seem to get my thoughts into words. Say X sees things twice the size as to Y sees things and Z is observing both X’s and Y’s point of view and concludes that what X saw was twice the size as to what Y saw. But what is the actual size despite what they saw? This is actually harder to explain than I thought!!! (

But how do we know the actual size? Say if our eyes were designed as seeing 10 times the normal size, we would see everything 10 times bigger, but actually it could be 10 times smaller in the real world (?) I need to get my head around this!! I think I need to be spoon fed on this one!

Ok, imagine that we have glasses on say 5x magnification and everything we see is proportional to what we see. Now say we put on –5x glasses on and we see things smaller but they are all proportional. How do we know what we see is the actual size? Am I making sense here? Can anyone here understand what I am saying?

i am lost!! how many missiles does the US have?

I don’t believe someone should be judged by their status at all. Yes, I am talking about the social status here. Some while a go, I read about the Japanese princess who had to give up her status to marry an ordinary man. She can no longer be the princess. She gave it all up to marry the person she loved. I can understand being attracted to someone with good qualities such as intelligence, personality, humour, understanding to name a few but rejecting them because of their status is ignorance! In some cultures status is intertwined with cast and they don’t marry into other casts although they follow the same culture! How stupid?? In the western world (I believe) status is more or less determined by what we do. Sometime, someone is more likely to fall for you because of what you do! What is your opinion on this matter? Would you fall for someone whose status is low? What are the qualities you look for? Your honest opinion please..

Does status matter in a relationship? People say love is blind but I don’t think this is the case! Most people prefer a partner who is in the same standard or better than them. What is your view?

Martin, I wanted to see what others had to say from their own point of view. I like your hard wired concept but I still find it difficult to get my head around the whole situation. Even a simple task of walking (I know its complex but u know what I mean) take a very long time to master for humans but some animals start walking as soon as they are born!! I understand we have evolved over millions of years but is there still room for evolution?

Why are human babies more vulnerable at birth compared with new born of other species? Human babes require constant care and attention all the time yet we are more intelligent than other species. This constant care is required for an extended time (YEARS)!!! Anyone has any hypothesis on this?
