  1. lol. What if the cable was AMAZINGLY long. That would work definately right? I am just trying to think whether my theory is correct
  2. what about a fibre optic wire made in a loop. Let's say you beam a ray of light down the fibre and immediately close the end. Won't that work?
  3. yeah they are actually speaking. They can't exist for long because their nuclie break down because it is so big
  4. oh ok. Back to the first question... WHY does mass increase when speed increases? And does it mean that my weight would increase if i was moving? .....maybe yes, i was told that if u weighed urself in the arctic, u would weigh less... is this realated?
  5. ok I will! Guys, if u like the challenges that are going on, then go to this link, its my main challenge, to answer it, just register in my forum, and post the answers http://dragonslair.europe.webmatrixhosting.net/challenge3.htm Have fun guys!
  6. oh! I didn't notice that! Its really hard to actually get the symbols right! Sorry guys!
  7. yeah, that means, if you beam a ray of light into a prism, that split second when the light is in the prism, it looses mass? or light cannot be counted as having mass?
  8. lol I forgot about that. cause that was the link that was given to me on my email!
  9. well, here is the link: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=38275#post38275 It's locked, so, i think, only mods and admin can see it
  10. sorry guys, for Q7 it was the power sign that i missed out! So the question should be, which is bigger 7^8 or 8^7? MrL_JaKiri's answer status: 1.? 2.Correct! 3.Correct! 4.Correct! 5.Correct! 6.? 7.Sorry, my mistake! 8.? Wolfson's Answers: 1.Correct! 2.Correct! 3.Ur not specific, see Jakiri's answers 4.Wrong 5.Correct! 6.Wrong (it says: My sides are EQUAL in length) 7.Sorry, my mistake 8.I dunno where u got that answer from!!! Take a look at how u work it out: Evaluate: 7+3 x (9-5)-16/4 1.Solve the brackets first to make: 7+3x(4)-16/4 2.Solve multiplication and division to make: 7+12-4 so the answer (clearly) is 15!
  11. Ok, a few days ago my teacher was telling me that the faster an object travels, the more mass it has. The mass keeps on increasing until right below infinte at where it reaches the speed of light (i think. Cause this is all from memory ) My questions are HOW and WHY? Thanx guys
  12. hmmm.... cause my teacher was telling me that there are some reactions that the lower the pressure, the more the forewards reaction. As for wolson's one, the more the presure, the more the forwards reaction to making ammonia! YT, i don't understand ur reactions, could u please explain further?
  13. 1. Which triangle has the greatest area? (see the attached image) 2. Arrange the numbers 1 to 9, using each one only once, placing only one number in each cell so that the totals in both directions are the same.(see the attached image) 3. A man and his wife each weigh 50kg. They have two children each weighing 25kg. The whole family to have cross a river in a rowing-boat which can only carry a maximum of 50kg. Every member of the family can row. How can they manage it? 4. Which is bigger and by how much- the sum of all the odd numbers or the sum of all the even numbers from 1 to 100? 5. I multiply a number by 4 and add 9. The result is the same as when I multiply the number by 6 and subtract 13. Find the number. 6. My sides are equal in length. My diagonals cut at right angles. I have two pairs of equal angles. What shape am I? 7. Which is bigger 78 or 87? 8. Evaluate 7 + 3 x (9 – 5) – 16 4 Have fun guys! The last 4 or five questions are simple, i just included them for some fun! Below is the trangles for Q1
  14. hmm... either i didn't understand what u said, or that this reaction doesn't work Cause, i am looking for a reaction which involves gasses only. The higher the pressure, the less react, as they have reached a point of equilibrium
  15. well, i know the theotry already, if there is a higher volume produced thatn is used! Can u please specify an example?
  16. Ok, i already know that the making of ammonia is an example of a reversible reaction. When u increase the pressure, the forward reaction is encourages. Can u give me an example where the backward reaction is encouraged when the pressure is increased? Thanx alot guys!
  17. lol YT, u have a similar box to where i keep my electronics in Nice work I have to say
  18. hmmm.... can't remember, is the long side negative or positive. And what about the flat side?
  19. what more... it has A LOT of energy (this causes the electrons to part from the nucleus!)
  20. well, it is when you heat something to EXTREMELY HIGH temperatures that the atoms' nuclei and their electrons separate. Its like a soup! 99% of the universe is made up of it (amazingly) becasuse stars are made up of it.
  21. so, it is just matter at absolute zero?
