It's British researchers who had collected data from a a survey on the internet. 800 people participated. To sum up, the fact that hash cause problems for short-term memory is well known. But that ecstasy cause problems for the long-term memory is new. Combined they might give the (ab)user poor/no memory at all. ... Oh great! And so wouldn't the opposite of red be green pigments and an equal amount of absent of light? But then again it would be black, wouldn't it? Yes. The terrorists are winning in a way. Their terror are sperading, and now they don't even need to do anything themselves to sperad it! We are stoping our planes ourself, our governments are increasing surveilance of inocent citisens, and new anti-terror laws take away our privacy!

The only thing we can get out of cloning, at least with todays technology, are our own twin-brother/sister. I don't see the point. Though we might get better technology in the future, like being able to grow a human to full-size in a few weeks, etc. Then it might start raising some more conserns.

It's 02:10 right now, and though I still have a lot of interesting threads to read here and other places, I realy feel I need to get to bed to get up in a reasonable time tomorrow (or today, whichever you prefere to think of it as). Then I have one question that has occured for me. I know that if one take an hours nap during work, one will feel much better and work better afterwards. I even know that some companies has started with a mandatory sleeping hour for the employies. But normaly people sleep during the night, for about 1/3 of the 'day' (what is the english word for day and night combined?). Is it healthier and more efficient to take all the sleep in one big sleep, or should one split it to many small sleeps during the entire day and night?

If I understand your thought correctly, isn't that a question of relativity? If the uranium moves at near light speed, and time then slows down, I would expect it to decay slower than uranium on Earth. Though it would only seem to have stabilized if it moves fast enough and for a short enough time for it not to decay. Though I still don't understand what the neutron star has to do with this, so maybe I completely misunderstood your question

Well, most important is to find a service provider which allows you to use the scripts and programs you want to use, like php, perl, etc. There isn't to much difference between perl and php, but I guess php would be easier to learn. Though you will probably need a few weeks to learn it properly. If you want this webpage fast, you'll most likely need to use a premade script. Just ask if yuo need any more help. Though maybe this should be moved to the Computer->Programming subforum

I guess YT has a point, though I have no experience with Blogs myself. Other than that I can say that there are several ways of password-protecting a webpage, but some ways may easily be circumvented by people with the right knowledge. One way is with a JavaScript who pops up and asks for a password before showing the page. Other ways would be to program it in with PHP or some other code. Though that would require that the host supports PHP or the language you use. For the forum you could program one yourself or use phpbb or something similar. Though that again requires support for PHP.

Today, around 03:52 CET, Beagle 2 was expected to land on Mars surface. Also, the European Mars Express space probe entered Mars orbit at 03:47 CET. But no communication from Beagle 2 has been recieved(ESA). Although the probe may have crashed on the surface, there are also other possibilities. As Mike Healey from Beagle 2's constructor Astrium UK says, " it could have landed in the wrong place or it may not have opened successfully, and the aerial may be pointing in the wrong direction." BBC also has an article on it. I hope they manage to get contact with Beagle soon.

Doesn't it require at least a bit of training to be able to get down safely with a parachute? I doub't the stewards could do it while showing the emergency exists right before takeoff
