  1. Would they be able to stick to people and vehicles??? (Sorry, played halo for 16 hours straight last night)
  2. Haha, it's already done! Turned it in last friday.
  3. Ok, I'm currently a senior in high school, and every senior has to do something called senior projects which reflect what you want to do for the rest of your life, this includes a research paper. My paper involved alternative energy, I was completely serious and consice throughout the entire paper, 9 pages from the beginning I had just finished convering matter/antimatter annhiliations and placed the work cited at the end. The work cited took up 1 1/2 pages so, I had a bright idea (maybe not) I decided to through in LimeCat Anyone who's been online as long as I have knows of limecat, unfortunately, I don't think my sr. projects teacher knows of it, oh well, MLA style and everything, I just hope I don't get an F for it. I have no idea what this has to do with anything other than it's funny.
  4. Hahaha, oh man, that's hillarious. I only wonder what the professor thought while reading it.
  5. I tried to open it up, but I was worried about breaking it, or cracking the plastic. I used a very small electronics screw driver, yet, trying to pry it open only resulted in bending the plastic, so, until I can find some scematics, I won't be trying it again. Also, it's been alluded that it may just be the flash memory, and not the actual sd card, and I have no experience with soldering. And just for reference:
  6. lol, everyone should, but with the possibilities of std's and pregnancy, the risks are too great for everyone to be (for lack of a better term) "free spirits". In addition to medical reprocussions, there are the social ones, so until everyone removes the idea of slut and whore from their minds, I don't think anyone will have immense amounts of sex. although... heh, here's hoping. ^^
  7. Ok, just the other day I bought a scandisk brand mp3 player, called a sansa, with one gig of memory. The brand gave me an idea, scandisk makes sd cards right? so logically, they would use those same sd cards in their mp3 player? so wouldn't it be possible to simply open it up and upgrade the card to a 2 gig from the one gig? Just wanna run this past you guys before I go through with it. (I hope I put this in the right section)
  8. Parts taken from; http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=229 In 1954 the brains pleasure center was found by complete accident, and in 1956 James Olds was able to tap into this center through electroshock bringing on complete euphoria for as long as the shock was issued, even such sensations as constant orgasms were acheived with higher levels of electricity. This technology was tested on dozens of animals from rats to cows and showed a nearly addictive affect where as the animals would deprive themselves of food just to feel the stimulation. In addition to animals, this was also tested on a homosexual man in 1972 in an attempt to "cure" him of his homosexuality, the subject stimulated himself some 1,500 times and had to be disconnected despite his protests. Now, the question is, should this kind of pleaure be only a click away? Is it moral to allow people to experience this so easily? In my opinion, I don't think it should be allowed at all. I can just forsee entire civilizations crumbling with its citizens hooked up to pleaure stations. Although the idea of pleasure from a button is alluring, the reprocussions are far to great to risk it. But, what do you think?

    Cannibalism

What is accepted and what is ethical changes from country to country, so cannibalism being ethical changes, in america, I'd deffinately say not, but in smaller and less advanced countries such as the deep jungles of brazil it is more accepted. Although, in all honesty, I see nothing wrong with it, we're all just carbon and meat. I suppose it depends on the manner of death and the circumstances surrounding the act. Still, http://www.eathufu.com is very interesting for all those interested.
  10. What about japanese colleges? Anyone know anything about them? I plan on going there my sophmore year of college to "study abroad".
  11. Well, I just wanted to state that I recieved my acceptance letter to Michigan Technological University a little while ago and have been admitted into the physics program. I'm happy, but does anyone here have any experience at this college? or know it from personal experience? Also, they have a nanotechnology batchelors degree, should I go for it? I already plan to go for my masters in physics and double minor in mechanical engineering and business, and I plan to take a few Japanese language and legal courses. I have alot of work ahead of me.
  12. This is actually one of the items I'd like to research later in life. Lightsabers are possible but not in the litteral sense. With current plasma technology, a cold plasma "light sabre" is possible but only a few inches long, the beam is self terminating because it is just a de-ionized oxygen/helium gas. The beam only heats to about 75 degrees F. so it is non-lethal, but in the future, it could be possible to not only extend the beam to a metre or so, but also be able to create a lethal version. hooray for second post!
  13. Hello one and all. I am a resident of Michigan, I am a huge science nerd, currently am a senior in high school, have already taken college chemistry and am in college biology (the hardest class in the school). I've already been admitted into Michigan Technological University into the physics program and plan to study in physics, cold plasma, nanotechnology and theoretical physics as well as double minoring in mechanical engineering and business. Umm... anything else? Well, I look forward to talking with you all.
