You want a 5 - 10 foot radius, do you want it to be a sphere of that radius? or a shell at that radius?

How strong do you want the field to be?

Does it need to be freely suspended or embedded in the ground with half of it above?

 

Does anyone else feel the need for more information?

The answer to all of those questions would be whatever works. My neighbors constantly turn up their TV or music and disregard any requests to turn it down. I read somewhere a magnetic field can affect an LCD TV without damaging it. I figured if I can make such a field it would be one peaceful way to resolve the problem as they probably will have no clue to what's going on.

I am interested in creating a large magnetic or electromagnetic field (5-10 foot radius). Any suggestions on how I can do this? Is it possible to focus a magnetic or electromagnetic field in a specific direction? Other things to consider is keeping power consumption low.
