  1. in case he wanted to prove the Fermat's Last theorem, inductively, he has to move from one side to another, by assuming the initial state is true ... but in case there is only the FLT in that form, numerical substitution is not a proof ... ---------------------- moreover, what he is trying to do is not a proof to the FLT, he's just testing the FLT at some conditions ...
  2. In highschool, my math teacher told me that rotation around origin, is the motion that moves one object from one dimension to a higher one, with an exception of the origin ... in 1D, a point can rotate, to form a circle in 2D the circle in 2D can rotate, to form a ball in 3D the ball in 3D can rotate, to form a rotating ball in 4D it can be stacked of any shapes that can uniform at some point into your shape or a uniform cut of it, going down at the level, one shape is a set of points, in discrete geometry ...
  3. My guess about the first 3D image is .. Race Cars !
  4. delay doing something in a normal program, in C\C++ you do Sleep using OS-specific calls in Java you use Thread.sleep(..) if you want to delay a procedure, and keep your program running, you assign the work to a thread that sleeps amount of time .. you may in Java create a new class extending Thread class, and do Thread.sleep(..) inside, then the action ... if you mean delaying decision of writing line of code, you use ? symbol in the code, and use back-patch(..) method, which back-patches the ? into codes you decided later ...
  5. Xittenn, ASP.Net is already made and deployed, although it's rarely used, JSP is used by a variety, but PHP is used by the most, due to server costs ... I expected a new computer language, with Web2.0, HTML5, and CSS3, a new language that works between the browser & the server, combines everything from ASP,JSP, and PHP deploying new Web2.0 technologies ...
  6. @The Tree: @Athena: I started a new thread for that, but it's gonna take a while to follow, it's a long research that might give you a headache, and you might get lost, because it's all about logic, neural systems, and fuzzy structures ... http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/54510-fuzzy-neural-structures/ The aim is to understand many things including how the brain builds its own language, how the brain builds its fuzzy definition of things in reality, and the understanding mythology inside the inner-mind, which will help us to know how to translate any context into that structure, that will be accepted and integrated the way it should inside the brain of any human ... best wishes,

    is it true ..?

    A friend told me that if we draw two points on the opposing edges of a paper, mathematically the shortest distance is the length of the paper, but physically, if we can envelope the paper where the paper edges meet, the paper will looks like a cylinder, both points will be at the same space\time and the length will be Zero ... what do you think ?

    is it true ..?

    In mathematics, the shortest path between any two points is the straight line ... But in physics, a friend told me that the shortest path between two points in space is Zero, Is it true ?.. and how is that possible ??
  9. note: this thread is based on my research .. in response to the tree request, ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Part I: Mind Encyclopaedia Fuzzy Neural Structures are a Logical Unit mapped to its corresponding object in reality, and unlike standard structures that need precise description, and appear to be unique, and seem clear ... Fuzzy Neural Structures have logical-identifiers, fuzzy-description, meta-data, history-bag (I will explain each later). The brain memory is a Fuzzy "Fuzzy Neural Structure" Encyclopaedia, this fuzzy encyclopaedia is a graph where every structure forms a tree, and all trees connects to meta-structures (meta-structure are generic structures that identify a fuzzy structural logic), meta-structures are connected to meta-pivot, meta-pivots, abstract logical points of things, are connected to the root cycle ... logical-identifiers are what identifies the real object this fuzzy structure being mapped to. fuzzy-description is a dynamic fuzzy description of the mapped object based on many things, some can be unknown. meta-data is the fuzzy description of what is beyond the mapped object (actions, movement, ..etc) can include assumptions. history-bag is where the history of the mapped object is kept using fuzzy-snap-shots. -- fuzzy-snap-shots are neural fuzzy short dreams that can be viewed in the mind. meta-structure is a generic class inherited into fuzzy-structures to give the generic properties ... meta-pivot is an abstract class inherited into meta-structures to give the logical properties ... the root-cycle is a cycle of meta-pivots that represent the set of abstract logical divisions ... ------------------------------------------------------------- Part II: Deep Thinking, Imagination, Dreams, Coma -- when one student deeply thinking about something, his brain switches into his inner-mind, he look to what his eyes see not, he hear what his ears receives not, but if a body-signal comes, he will snap out of it instantly ... To realize things, is not easy to think about, Who are we, are we the body ?.. are we the brain, are we our memories ?.. or something beyond ?.. what is the difference between males and females, genitals, in other words the body, but the soul is abstract from the body .. everything identified is related to the body, the memories in the brain, just like the computer and the electricity ... -- Deep Thinking, Imagination, Dreams, Coma are four natural ways to switch between the outer-mind to the inner-mind, although in Advanced NLP you can switch manually (which jeopardise your life), the switching process is not really a switch, it's because that life to humans is a black box inside the inner-mind a black-box that takes input and output, from & to, mid-mind, inner-mind, and the main senses, which is where those streams interact with the soul ... In the awaken state, the inner-mind takes input from body-parts and commands from the outer-mind. When one deeply is thinking, slowly it switch into the inner-mind mode, keeping body at its remaining state. When one Imagine something, The visual\audio input-streams are received from a part in the inner-mind, a fuzzy galaxy, which can take any definition to work and animate ... When one sleeps the brain systems turns into hibernation mode, and control is taken by a special unit that regulate how body parts work .. This part is still unknown to me ... The last thing is the coma, coma is like previous ones but there is one difference, when the switch occurs, you take a key with you, in the case of a coma, there is no key .. It's like being trapped in a room without a key to find the path back the outer-mind, people in coma, perceive the outside in a fuzzy way, unable to go back, they struggle inside their inner-mind, some over years are trying to find the path back .. some returned ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I will post updates later ...
  10. Creation of a new programming language has a reason, either by Vendors, or in essence to a new technology, for example Quantum Programming Language will probably appear in the future if Quantum Computer came to reality ...
  11. Not any white-hat, they bring a Security Expert (white-hat too), to test their systems, give reports on security and threats, and give solutions on the other hand also, moreover, the Security Expert might offer to upgrade the security of the system with a higher costs than the test cost ...
  12. There is a very powerful method, but it's not used, and none would agree to ... It's a method where we can make 3-year-old children learn complex mathematics, By using media such as TV channel, and by deploying both Graph theory & Fuzzy Media theory, This method works because of a simple reason, because this method communicate with the child's brain, not with the child him-self ... and the brain works the same at all times (not talking about understand level), and young humans have better perceiving of things ...
  13. About Code::Blocks, it's an alternative, and I am a researcher, and It has everything you need ... -- ps developers do not need row column select ... About GIMP, I know that, and I don't like GIMP much, that's why I use Krita, which is easier to use, and give better results ... Open Office doesn't have problems in linux, and I work on all extensions from linux,windows,mac .. if it crashes, then you have a problem with your linux along with your device, also there is KOffice too ... About your last statement, VCS Express is not free, it is a share-ware, and no, it's illegal to write commerical software using that, Microsoft will issue your program in the court, and i'm not joking ! Paint.NET is a good program, not to forget that using WineHD on Linux, you can use windows applications, not to mention also that there are many good Paint programs on Linux too, Linux have spell-checking with a dictionary, It appears in Firefox & Office Tools .. and Linux Programs are well-Stationed too, -- About myself, I use gedit and gcc\g++ compiler with C\C++, and NetBeans with Java --- and I hate Eclipse, It feels like living on Mars (you will know what I mean when you use it) !
  14. There is a famous problem in Security Field called "source ambiguity", it means if someone wrote a virus, -- without leaving any trace of who wrote it, and it spread ... you cannot know who produced this virus, and if a virus exist somewhere, it doesn't necessarily mean you made it up, -- moreover, but the law says that sending\distributing a virus is illegal ... hackers use linux because viruses are mostly written for windows operating system, and you don't really get to see a trojan horse or a viruse with xxx.out or xxx.bash extensions, you usually see them with xxx.exe, and there is no autorun in linux, the thing that makes virus execution easier on windows ... there are three kinds of hackes, white hat are the good hackers that use hacking techniques to test servers,OSs,..etc , script-kiddies and they write viruses,trojan horses,..etc and they use pre-made hacking systems, black hats and they are the worst ones, and if you are targeted by one, I can't assure you that your device will be safe anymore, black hats don't write viruses,trojan horses,..etc , they do mainly three things: - Passive Attack: Collecting Information About targets (called Social Engineering) - Active Attack: direct Attack to the target's devices\systems (not using pre-packed systems) - Program Black Agents: This is worst than viruses\trojan horses\..etc, this is a mobile programmed agent, -- it moves through systems, and network, it has a job to do, either collecting information, or that it's a member -- of a distributed group to commit a DDOS attack that is untraceable About myself, I'm a white hat ...
  15. go to my thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/54475-linux-have-everything-you-need/
  16. In this thread I will list Linux-Free-Programs that are alternative to famous programs used by developers\researchers, You are welcome to request an alternative to any program you usually use on another Operating System ... C\C++ IDE: Code::Blocks, Netbeans (full edition), Eclipse, KDevelop Java IDE: Netbeans, Eclipse HTML\CSS\..\JS: Blue Fish All Sources Codes editor: gedit Photoshop-alternative: Krita, GIMP Visio-alternative: Dia Download Manager: Kget, Wget Office: Open-Office, KOffice Latex IDE: Kile, Tex Maker Matlab-alternative: GNU Octave Mathematics Tool: Genius Math Tool Sound-Editing: ReZound Video-Editing: Open Movie Editor Sound-Covertion: Sound Converter Sound-To-Command for ease of use: KMouth note: I'd like this thread to be pinned, so everyone can request anytime ...
  17. You know what is really funny, hackers use linux, as a linux user, we don't know what an anti-virus means, -- only script-kiddies keeps viruses on their computer, hackers never keep any copy of a virus on their drive, True (about your last question) that includes performance-eaters (multiplies in the cpu), halters (lead computer to halt), -- memory-jammers (fills up memory), and no-ops (keep doing nothing in cpu)
  18. I haven't looked any article about "number three" ... in C printf you do not need to give "address-of" to variables, that is needed only when using scanf int A = 0 ; scanf ( "%d", &A ) ; printf ( " A = %d ", A ) ;
  19. I didn't bring anything from my brain, this problem is well-known and already have solutions ... Look up Binary Knapsack Problem HERE
  20. In mathematical logic, we have a tertiary operator: ( C ? A : B ) where C is a condition, A and B are statements the operator works like this: if C is TRUE do A, if C is FALSE do B this operator is used in programming languages: C\C++ example: int A = 10 * 2 ; int B = 40 / 2 ; char R [8] = ( A == B ? "TRUE" : "FALSE" ); printf(" ( %d == %d ) = %s ", A, B, R ); output: ( 20 == 20 ) = TRUE
  21. Yes, it is highly possible in the future, based on Artificial Intelligence and Analysis -- basically, normal anti-viruses can suspect a code to be harmful, it asks the user to put them in the Quarantine ! -- then, the anti-virus sends an isolated copy of Quarantined files to the vendor's e-labs to check the files ... yes, only if the Analyzer is trustworthy ! It can turn into a virus, if the Analyzer is either not good, or if it was modified ! -- this assumption also includes if a free anti-virus was programmed to be a virus initially ...
  22. This problem is not a normal mathematical division, it's an integer division: let's assume that A is number of divided Objects, and B is number of members 1. using Integer division: X = A div B Y = A mod B if X = 1 then objects divided success, else failure if Y > 0 then Y objects remain after division if Y = A then division failed 2. using recurrence definition: S = { 0, 0, 0, ... }, S represent what every member owns ------------- a. IF [ B < 1 ] OR [ A < 1 ] THEN STOP b. z = A mod cut, where cut is number of objects meant for every member c. A = A - z d. Sb = z e. B = B - 1 f. GOTO STEP a -------------
  23. A1: best brand is MacBook Pro & iMac, best operating system is Mac OS X A2: yes, depending on the architecture you use, and the addings A3: netbook is a small laptop that is good only for those who use internet and office programs usually powered by Intel Atom Processor -- notebooks are meduim laptops in the size of a notebook ("13) with a fair performance usually comes with Intel i3 and i5, -- laptops are big laptops ("15 and "17) that comes with Intel i5 and i7 and huge supports and add-ons A4: Firefox, for many reasons, including supportability, cross-platform, rich with good add-ons, good HTML interpreter, -- and soon it will support HTML5 + CSS3 A5: Kaspersky A6: Avira A7: yes, you can get a good low-price laptop that is used, usually a clean used Acer\Assus laptop can be bought with a price -- between 160 and 280 US $, and powered by Intel Core 2 Duo with speed range 1.4 ~ 2.0 Good luck ~khaled
  24. 1. C for programming mathematics, system programming under Linux, and when speed is needed 2. C++ when programming Data Structures, Object-Oriented, system programming under Windows 3. Objective-C when programming Object-Oriented & Data Structures with high performance, system programming under Mac 4. Java when programming Web applications, hybrid applications, Cross-Platform applications Programming\Scripting languages that are good to know and work with are: General: C \ Objective-C 2.0 \ C++ \ { C# OR VB.net } \ Java Web: HTML AND CSS \ Java Script \ JSP \ PHP Kernel: MS DOS \ Bash \ Mac Kernel Database: SQL \ PL.SQL Writing: Latex OR Word Processor and I program with all languages, mentioned above ... i think MFC died at 2005, there is no MFC in Visual Studio 2008 & later versions ... and, we are talking about programming languages, not using Moderated Codes and Libraries ...
  25. I think that's a good definition, for one constraint I think the one big set would be complex to represent, but easier we would have: Set of Objects = { car, dress, moon, ... } Set of Colors = { white, black, red, green, ..., phi } Set of Shapes = { cubic, rectangular, ..., phi } Set of Sizes = { long, short, wide, huge, ..., phi } Set of Measurements = { um, mm, cm, m, Km, Mm, Gm, ..., phi } .. and so on, and you can form a definition using: Color,{Shape}+,Object,{[iNTEGER],Measurement,Size}+,... where + means "1 or more recurrence" .. { .. }+ means "1 or more recurrence" of the sub-set example: { "blue", { "spiral", "circular", "cylinder" }, "tube", { [40], "cm", "long" }, { [60], "mm", "wide" } } Good luck
