Well im sure they say its because of security reasons but its also so we will get work done. I mean i do have a real job and i should be doing it but why when i can chat. I have used a IRC chat from work before but i had to use a dot java or something like that type of address. Most irc addresses are network.irc.com or something.. its been so long since if used irc i cant even remember. The only chat we are allowed to use is a inhouse chat thing where we can only chat to other employees. but why the hell use that when we can just pick up the phone and dial and extention. And also, I hosted a forum once CBeginnersUnited.com is what it was called and i came up with the bright idea to have an IRC chat room along with the forum. All it did was allowed everyone get their questions answered on the IRC network and the forum stayed where i left it when i started the chat relay. Im not sure if it has the same effect on this site but what happens when someone brings up a topic in IRC room and nobody desides to log it. Once everyone who was perticipating leaves the room all that good information is lost. where as if i ask questions on the forum the entire subject is loged and is there for everyone else to read and learn from. I got rid of aol because i no longer needed chat. The invention of easy to host PHP based forums is once of the best creations in my eyes. It makes chatting more fun and learning easier. Ok ill stop now im rambling on!!!

About the telephone thing. Its not free to the military just free to me. I get my own little desk and my own little phone and i can call who i want when i want within the USA and i pay nothing my work pays for it. Many companys do this. I used telnet to send e-mail from a e-mail server which was not mine i was young and yes it was easy. I wouldnt even call it a hack. Im not a hacker so i wouldnt know the first thing about hacking into my own system but i do know that having my ip doesnt give you access to my PC. And third thats not my ip.... i did and ipconfig and looked at my ip and thats not it. That just got you to our main server now you have to get to the PC with the information on it which i dont recomend you try because you will be caught im about 50% sure of that. Not very good odds but i wouldnt want my name on any list so i wouldnt recomend it. Sorry if i came off trying to sound like i knew what i was talking about but im simply joining in on the conversation. My ip starts with a 1##.###.###.### So nope thats not it.

IP adresses are only good to those who are not behind a router and a multiple secure firewalls. Sure it could be cracked but only if we leave ourselves open to stupid thinds like opening a port simply to chat to our friends. Instead of doing that the military encourages us to go ahead and dial long distance from the telephone. No charge to us. It keeps our ports closed. The only ports open are the e-mail ports and maybe one or two others that i dont know about but what good is it to hack e-mail. Iv done it it was fun the first time but after that its usless unless you want to do something like send a letter to someone and make them think its not you. In order to get to my point you would have to go throught many and many routers and firewalls which by time you paid a professional to do it would not be worth the money because the info we have on our systems a one encrypted and two not usefull to anyone because well i get paid to do pretty much nothing.

Give the parents a few weeks to think about the abortion and then have it done if it is for non medical reasons if it is for a medical reason which could harm the mother i say do what ever is neccesary to save either the mother or the child. A mother has lived her life and will eventually die anyways... Chances are the mother knows where she is headed in life. If its a matter of wheather is the babys lif or the mothers life i say keep the life that will benifit the world the most. If the mother has no chance of finding a cure for something like aids then let the baby live because he or she still has a chance to become educated and find a cure. This is a subject that i have always gone back and forth with and in reality im just about asure of the right answer to the question of whether god really exist. Nobody can look at every single abortion in the world and justify weather or not it is right or wrong it should be handled on a case to case bases. There should be laws but at the same time the mothers should have choices. I dont think the courts and the rights activist are trying to compromise here they want all or nothing when they could have a little of both.... Time periods and methods of abortion should be set and abortion for medical purposes should be allowed and noted in the laws of abortion. I like to look at it this way... If my mother had aborted me would i be upset. Probably not.... I wouldnt had known the difference... and most of the people against abortion are religous anyways and believe that earth is hell and heaven is wonderful so what so wrong about sending unborn babies to heaven. I myself dont know if there is a heaven but in english terms i do think earth is hell and i like living in hell but if i did not know what hell was then i would not care if i were here or not. What do they consider partial birth abortion. I would say that in a mater of life or death only or if the baby will be born with some sort of mental retardation that would make him or her miserable all their life should the baby be aborted after the third trimester other than that the women should only be able to abort before the third trimester. You wanna stop abortion... Make the women and mean have a sonogram right before the abortion and let them listen to the heart beat i bet half of them would change their mind. Of couse this can only be done after the baby is big enough and the heart starts beating. My personal opinion. If the hearts not beating its not alive yet. Its simply a cell multiplying which technically is a living organism but it probably does not feel pain at this poin in time and it probably would have never know it was going to be born anyways. If the heart is beating then it is murder. But if its just a multiplying cell then you only killing a cell and not a human. My final thought is that i remain neutral on the subject. I have equal pros and cons.

Its a java application which means it still uses a server and connects to a chat host and being a programmer i understand that it is very easy to hack into IRC clients using backdoors and such. So i wouldnt even attempt to. Same thing with Yahoo Chat MSN Chat and AIM and every other chat client available. They all leave open doors for hackers to enter through and the information we have here at work is to valuable to be exposing like that. We run virus check every hour and we have firewalls out the gazoo... In fact out firewall wont even allow us to connect to any IRC servers that have the term IRC in the adress. So no the java app is out. But when i ge home i will be more than willing to chat with you guys. I really didnt even bother to notice you had a chat room On a side note... XBox should great a chat room. I like playing xbox live and i like to chat so why not make a realworld game where you can walk around and chat with people. They do it for the pc its a new program calle "REAL" i have never played it but i saw it on "Tech TV" and it looked like fun. It was a real simulated world where people could start their own buisness and stuff and make "REAL dollars" which can actually be converted to USD at a exchange rate of i think 3000 to 1 or something. I know but that takes all the fun out of the game. I want to play with chemicals. Like i said in another post i live for knowledge. The average joe can set up a video cam on the refridgerator and catch his son taking the 3rd or fourth beer thinking that dad doesnt count. But that takes all the fun out of the work. Id like to find the can placed in with all the other aluminum cans and use some cotton swaps and saw the mouth peice of the cans for some skin cells and the go to my wife daughter and son and swab each of them. Mix the swabs in some chemicals and find out who took my beer. I have a great imagination! But the point is since a kid i liked playing with chemicals i like tearing things apart and putting them back together again. I like to do fun stuff that i didnt know i could do. Video taping isnt fun. Mixing chemicals is.

Of all the science topics in here im suprised not to see Forensics as on of them. Why is this? I wanted to take a forensic science class in high school but they said i had to be in a law major to take it. (I went to a tech school) As a person who like to collect spy tools i think we should talk about some of the techniques used to catch criminals. It would be fun to try and figure out who left the Milk out on the table. You know how it get left out sometimes and all the kids say it wasnt me and you wife say nope i didnt do it. Well i think we need to talk about way we could track down the criminal who put the penut butter in the fridge and left the jelly on the counter. And who's been drinking the soda from the soda bottle. I think we should take swabs of cells from all the family members and test them to see who is guilty. This should be a good discusion so have at it people!

I saw a matirx movie. Im not sure what one but it did suck. Im not really into sci-fi movies tho. I prefer action and comedy, sometimes i have to through in a little romance for the g-friend but not often. I hat so called horror fims. They are not scary and you can always tell when somethings going to happen by the sound of the music. Maybe if someone make a horror movies without all the dead giveaways that the monster is going to pop out in about a half a second because the music get creapy then i might like them. But i hate when people(drama queens) grab onto you and claw you with their fingers as they didnt know that the little girls head was gonna get choped off. I like movies that could be real. Gangster movies are my favorite and i also like spy movies. Im into all the spy tech survalence gear i buy it although i have no use for it. I think its cool. Back on topic tho: I think the matrix movie sucks.

Is it possible to learn chemistry by reading forums and web pages or would one have to go to college. How would i learn how chemicals react and such when mixed or burned or whatever. YT seams to know all about all chemicals and such. Where could i start learning. Chemistry for dummies book maybe? Supply links and such if it is possible to learn from the internet. I have taken chemistry in high school and i know that learning is not easy but id like to give it a try. Also what type of money does the average chemist make and how easy is it for him or her to get a job?

You will need Microsofts Visual Basic IDE (Integrated Development enviroment) It cost a ton of money but you can find it on warez sites for download. I myself have Visual Studio .net which is Visual Basic, C++, C#(latest lang), assembly All rolled into one package. It comes on 4 CD's so you could imagine downloading would take forever even with cable. If you want a easily downloadable version search for VB6. If you buy a VB.net or VB6 book at barnes in nobles sometimes they have a student version of Visual Studio or Visual Basic on a CD in the back of the book. The features are very limited in these version tho. I would try finding a friend that has the IDE and burn a copy from them i think the software you want cost between 1,000 and 3,000 USD depending on what version you buy. If you ever need any help with programming as me I work with hundreds(exaderater) of programmers and i am always learning myself

Im not telling anyone to go over there and stay. I am an electonic technician i work for the army and thats a site i use to get all of my electronic answers. Iv searched for many on the web and that seems to be the only one that i can ask a question and expect a answer within the same day. Sorry if it came off as advertising but i thought that maybe you guys would want some expert help from them every now and then. I dont own the site or help run it or anything i am simply a member and they are not as family as you guys are but they are friendly. Im the type who will read forums all day long no matter what the topic is just so i can learn... It's weird in school i hated reading and learning but now that im 20 and got my AAS degree im addicted to learning. Maybe schools should allow their kids to get on the internet and chat at forums so they will learn. I think im on to something.

O.K. I got the glow podwer in the mail yesterday and i took a small amount in put it into a glass of water. Then i stired the waterfor a few seconds. I held the glass to the light and sat it on the table. I ran around the house and turned of all the lights and came back to the glass of water and looked inside. I found that the glow powder did not dissolve and make the water glow as a expected. The powder simply sank to the bottom of the glass and when i turned off the light only the powder was glowing and not the water. Now im very disapointed. So i thought i come back here and ask for another solution. Is there another glow powder i can use which will dissolve and make the water glow? Is there a way i could make the glow powder i have float? Or is there a way i can dissolve the powder i have by adding another chemical? I poured a very small amount into the toilet and all it did was sink to the hole and light the hole not the entire bowl water. HELP!

Once again thank you. You are right the idea is very silly and i do not plan o getting rich from it. But i think it would be a funny thing to have in my own house and to give to friends as christmas presents. Im not even sure if i will ever add cleaning agents to it. But if i do i will be sure to look you up. I hope that it will iluminate the toilet enough so that someone could aim at the glowing water and make going to the bath room fun. They say its a Silicate Aluminate. Is this the same thing as calcium sulphide. Whats the chemical name for Silicate Aluminate?
