  1. Sounds like either javascript or vbscript is turned off in your FF installation's options.

    shape of "0"

I can check all this when I get home, thanks to the magic of books.
  3. Or escape through the sewer maintenance system instead, like vampires or anyone with half a brain.
  4. No probs here, although I have not got around to installing 1.0 yet.
  5. My bad. I am untangled now.
  6. I'd definitely not call him annoying.
  7. I'd hardly call Maddox an extremist.
  8. Presumably you're using MS SQL server? What programming language are you using?
  9. You were quite clearly talking about countries and not leaders before - Saddam is not the same thing as "Iraq". You can tell the difference between them because one of them is a person (which is very very small) and one of them is a country (which is very very big).

As usual, around 32 of those 37 have not been able to put any case forward to support their decision, and the arguments of the other 5 or so people who actually took part have been utterly thrashed, so yeah - "case closed".
  11. I have not followed the CBS controversy, however the ill-judged actions of a few individuals at the BBC in a single event hardly cast a huge shadow of doubt across the reliability of a service which has served the public with objective, comprehensive and frank reporting for decades. This is why I call "mired in serious, credibility-challenging controversies" an exaggeration - the BBC controversy did virtually nothing to challenge the credibility of the service whatsoever, in either the domestic or oversea sense. QED can only apply here if you are using it to highlight that the sources cited have been shown to be non-objective. If you're purporting that their objectivity is a matter of opinion, then ending with QED means nothing and could be misleading. But of course

Again, you're just demonstrating that you are not reading (or perhaps understanding) what I said.
  13. Even if that wasn't an exaggeration, it would still not be QED.

Representing the distribution of events as a percentage of the population is fairly meaningless.

False dilemma. People won't starve if they don't "hunt" for food - we've been over all of this already. Yes, I know it's a past-time. Hence a want, and not a need. You should read people's posts more carefully.
  16. Looks like it, yeah. Otherwise people will think you're yelling at them
  17. Americans aren't allowed opinions on pronunciation.

I'd be more worried just by the fact that living in that country forces 3,500,000 defensive gun uses per year, but everyone seems to be "ok" with that.

You can list as many different types of guns and "prey" as you like, but it isn't going to impress and confuse me so much that I just suddenly flop over and drool "oooh yes you are right, hunting isn't a past-time".
