  1. It's fairly new over here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/community/diamond/you.shtml
  2. Didn't anyone tell you? The full name of the site is "Science Forums, Gayness and Debate". Seriously though, we have 4,670 threads and only about 10 are dedicated to questions of sexuality. That's not many.
  3. I seem to remember reading something about the possibility of winged humans a while ago - it wasn't very encouraging. In order to get off the ground we'd need muscles so large our breast bones would need to be three or four feet longer to provide the anchor surface. I can't remember how long you are able to flap before your heart explodes
  4. Care to explain why I'm biased first?
  5. That would be a two-dimensional representation, yeah. People seem to have trouble imagining a 3D volume being warped, for some reason.
  6. Again, they used an ill-defined method of travel that had a suggestive name. Portals or something.
  7. Read the other threads on antivirus software, where those exact questions were asked by other people.
  8. Because they don't want to have to keep surfacing and refuelling, particularly while in hostile waters? I don't know why you two are arguing over fuel/engines seeing as nobody has said what this ship is actually for yet. I'm going to go ahead and bet that you know absolutely nothing about Chernobyl then.
  9. A solution to what? I think you might create more problems than you solve with that one.
  10. Why would there be mass-buying of canned food? A terrorist attack on the UK is likely to be highly localised, short duration, and target either a public service, or a government or commercial structure.
  11. No they don't. They don't even have brains. Invader Zim.
  12. The Borg use transwarp conduits, the exact workings of which have never been explained in detail.
  13. That's nice. The leaflet is a political tool. There's absolutely no good reason to distribute one to every household in the UK.
  14. Not necessarily; it's far more likely to be random recall.
  15. Even if it did tell people what to do in every conceivable threat scenario, it would still not keep panic at a minimum.
  16. How is it a good idea?
  17. None of those are GCSE questions. This is one of those bollocks emails that goes around forever with the country name changing every time, etc etc. If you google for exact terms you will find dozens (if not hundreds) of sites with this on their crappy "humor pages".
  18. The simulation of the mission is pretty pants. Still, it could come in handy.
  19. Heh heh heh... Fit = shaggable
  20. http://www.trektoday.com/news/220704_01.shtml Also check out this horrifying revelation: http://www.trektoday.com/news/200704_03.shtml According to that idiot Berman the next film is going to be nothing to do with any previous Trek characters or situations, and set before Enterprise.
  21. Hey, if it works... There are several in-jokes about that, and they're all beautifully oblique.
