I think you might have missed my point. I was suggesting there may be a logical gap in this theory. Let me rephrase:
If, as you say, the chances of a species becoming technologically mature before driving itself extinct are so small, is it not then even more unlikely that a species will become technologically sophisticated enough to devise and construct such an advanced simulation as the one we are discussing?
Since they are a staple part of my diet, I consider any alteration to the model for sausage products to be a major step in food science.
