  1. I'm going to buy a Chinook and land it on one of your cars. But which one? LET THE MOOSE DECIDE.
  2. It would be easier to burn it to disc and SNAILMAIL it.
  3. Are you sure you want to know? Moderators' reminder: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1374

Can we have one that's different shades of black?
  5. Yes, we could appreciate mankind's mighty control over every force of nature whilst... OH MY GOD IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!
  6. There is a "3D" LCD display in development. It's super funky. It relies on specific perspective, so there are stupid constraints on how it's used (EG you have to sit in a certain position and not move), but as usual once the technology is there some bright spark will figure out how to improve it.
  7. Brainiac is the devil's television show. It offends me as someone who has put the effort in to learn a great deal of information and methodology over more than a decade; to see some drivelling loon jumping about in a disused quarry claiming that science is boring, blowing up caravans with oxygen is the only fun bit, and 2 blokes in vests is an adequate sample group. It's crapulent.
  8. If elected I will give all members a robot zombie sausage Earth dog, and the ability to shoot lasers out of your heads.
  9. The orbitals of the planets do intersect horizontally, so they aren't completely in the same plane. I would imagine that the gravitational attraction of the other planets could ease a 'rogue' planet's orbital into a similar plane to the others, but I suspect it has something to do with the disc of stellar matter from which planets form.
  10. I think some people fell off on the way over. * checks the ground beneath the thread *
  11. Why bother? Just rush through the version you have, buy HL² when it comes out next month, and never ever play HL1 or anything else ever again
  12. Finished Catcher and Brave New World; I'm now on "Memoirs of a Geisha". Does anyone know if there's some sort of clever in-joke centered around the word "indefatiguable" in BNW? Huxley uses the word in every chapter without fail until about 2/3 of the way through, where he stops using it completely
  13. Everyone hold on tight... we're moving.... Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
  14. I doubt that many people like us to be honest. The UK has done some terrible things, a lot of them quietly recent.
  15. The "I'm feeling lucky" button just gives you the first result returned for the search phrase. The whitehouse.gov article just happens to be ranked highest for that phrase. There is no trickery involved, I'm fairly sure of that. Nobody outside the company even knows how all of google's ranking and sorting works.
  16. Dirty, dirty nail-biters. I pick my nose for fun and profit.
  17. I voted that you're crazy, because it depends which style you use.
  18. It's called "editing the database" Dudde
  19. I voted for you because I saw you voted for me.
