  1. I know someone else using the "who's online" page.

    Euthenasia?

Go to your user control panel (menu at the top of the page), you should see the options there.
  3. At least it doesn't have those stupid fking pop-up "news alert" things that the Real One player uses - boy thse make me mad Try uninstalling it, then reinstalling it with the minimum components, turning off the system tray icon and update on demand options, and just never using it. At least then you know exactly what is on your machine.
  4. If anything that's helpful to the concept of solopsism
  5. All you people using the word "virii" are going to be beaten to death with a Latin dictionary, I hope you realise that
  6. AOL puts down about 600 evil tentacles even if you begin then cancel the installer. Even if you did install and uninstall QT billions of times, filling your hard-drive, the definition for "worm" you cited would not apply, as self-replication is not a function of the program - it's you who is replicating it. Uninstall it, delete the folders, search for .ini and .dll files that might be relatd to QT and move them to a folder you can quarantine (in case your PC needs them), and use a registry backup/cleanup tool to get rid of its evil keys. Then see if anything nasty happens
  7. Doesn't that require either that definition determines reality, or that any given definition is immutable?
  8. Happy Birthday for Yesterday fafamalone Dance my lovelies, dance!
  9. I said that treating them as separate factors is foolhardy, not that you ignored a link. I was just emphasising the importance of the fact that the two are inextricably related ;-) Population control is possibly the most important factor, because as long as there are too many people, the demands on the planet's resources will be too great, no matter where we get our energy. There is a certain minimum material input required to run a civilisation , and with 6 billion + humans, we're exceeding that.
  10. The point is that most trojans don't stay within geographic boundaries or legal jurisdicts. Very few people will try to prosecute trojan writers unless criminal damage or loss of data is caused, or espionage is allowed. Hence it's worth doing in terms of risk of legal consequences. One or two federal prosecutions a year is insignificant on a planet swarming with trojans.
  11. It's not just food we have to worry about, it's all the matter, energy and space required to "run" a person for their entire life. There is such a strong link between population and consumption that to treat them as separate factors is foolhardy. That just tells me you know nothing of communism or socialism. Think about that. That's the part of the population with the lowest material requirements.
  12. Illegal where? Prosecutable by whom? ps - do you have any antivirus software running, and if so how often do you update it?
  13. Quicktime is not a worm, it is a piece of trivial software with optional settings and mandatory terms of use. Get to know them.
  14. The simple fact is that we will very soon - as a species - have to grow up and be responsible for the number of offspring we produce, as the alternative is global catastrophe. People will obviously whine that their divine rights to have babies are being infringed, but it's really going to be a case of "tough luck".
  15. The irony of the solopsist who cannot distinguish between your and you're is quite tragic.
  16. I don't hate him, nor do I dislike him.
