    Ha

I'm not sure how anyone's supposed to worship team banana when someone has closed the thread, but it's the thought that counts. I'll just have to assume people are doing it in their heads.
  2. You mean like mammals? We're packed with juicy metal. This is turning into a theoretical chemistry thread...
  3. Green = yellow + blue is pigments, iirc...?
  4. Well. All I can say is that you are now Officially Stupid.

    ever ask "why?"

No, I mean it would just be guys sitting around bitching about how irrational women are. But imagine them with hair rollers in and cups of tea, nattering away and saying things like "Oh I knoooooow, what was she thinking?", and it's a lot funnier.

    ever ask "why?"

I'd like to dispute the idea that without women present it would actually be a debate.
  7. Who's fake? I'm quite real thank-you. None of that hologram nonsense here.
  8. But Team Banana aren't running in this election!
  9. Stupid neural feedback. Why is the server attached to your IP address in Germany?
  10. That was kind of what I was talking about. Maybe red and green weren't the best example to use.
  11. I know how eyes work. I'm assuming that when Ahmad says green, he means 00FF00, and when he says red, he means FF0000. Obviously there's room for interpretation and plenty of scope for different possibilities though.
  12. The 'problem' with race-specific weapons is that once you use it, you demonstrate you have the capacity to target a specific race, and instantly become an international threat with the life expectancy of a mosquito.
  13. Funny, because red is a component of green and blue isn't. Or have hex values clouded my memory of colour physics?
  14. It only uses bandwidth when it transmits its results home and requests a new work unit. That's about 1 minute out of a day, on average.
  15. Conspiracy? Perpetrated by a mod? Nonsense!
  16. 18 hours per work unit while computer in use. Hmmm... wonder how long when it's not doing anything else.

    Pre-echo

The only feasible explanation is that the fabrication technique used to cut or press the vinyl left two imprints of the track on the record, one of which had a 'pre-lag' but was merely a ghost of the actual track. It's probably only noticeable on old or cheaply made records.
  18. I'm running 3DS Max 5 and Maya 5, and I'm curious to know if home dual processor systems are really worth the extra cash. I'd heard they only increase rendering speed by a small amount and it's cheaper - at home - to just buy a better processor. Anybody had experience with this?
  19. I got my new computer in October and completely forgot to install SETI@home despite this new machine being powerful enough to really churn out the data. I installed it yesterday and it's munching through those blocks! Yum yum, space signals.
  20. That's more like it. :adminowns
  21. I think you could make better use of the [Edit] button, which is located next to the time and date stamp for your posts if you are using the default layout scheme (Orbitz), or under the location and postcount if you are using the Plezik layout scheme. That way you can avoid making strings of short posts, and the mods won't want to delete half of them
  22. The most stupid wide-range technology for ages. More info in this thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1062&highlight=hydrogen+AND+fuel+AND+cell
  23. More likely they use a method similar to the Ass-blasters in Tremors 3.
  24. There may well be elements we have not discovered yet. However, if there are they will be high up in the periodic schema which means they will be (i) rare and (ii) not exactly suited to stable organic molecules. You should also know that it's possibly to predict elements based on periodicity, and therefore predict their behaviour and reactions.
