damn i sure like this new forum... pressing on.. my original numbers were slightly off; 10^-34... even smaller. Thats what i originally thought. They are not tangible, so to speak, but as yt said, a force that exists.
-
Im aware theyre size is so neglibible, something to the order of 10 ^-32, that it would not matter even, but im curious to know. If they dont have mass, are they just a force then? Now, if strings are in everything, atoms, fermions.. does that mean they compose these particles and the only differentiating characteristic is its resonance pattern?

Search Feature Wont Wok?

Make sure its on; the wok needs to be very hot before u can add anything to it. -
altho not directly related, ive seen tests done with subjects claiming to induce an obe at will. Separated by a wall, the test subject begins the process, and supposedly is able to leave the body and move thru other matter, such as walls without interference. As the man began to undergo the obe, he was then to read a specific sequence of numbers on a table the person in the next room over separated by the walls was holding. the test came back inconclusively several times, but i do wonder. . . Im shy to say, but during my 'experimental' years with buddhism i practiced meditation heavily. During one specific session tho, actually my last lol, i realized i was seeing an image of myself even tho i my eyes were closed. I had an obe, but was so terrified as the realization hit me it ended as fast as it began. Ok, now with that said, discount everything i have ever posted scientifically.

sure would be cool to see a weapon capable of maintaining antimatter composition without combustion that could be aimed at a specific target and not annihilate until that very target has been reached. Some buildings can withstand wind, some can withstand fire, some can withstand electricity, some can withstand the force of an atomic explosion... but no building could withstand 'absolute' destruction. Hypothetically, there would be nothing the weapon couldnt destroy.

i just know im very afraid of that bananana -
are steps 3 and 4 in equilibrium with one another? If so, then that is a fast step; all equilibrium steps are fast.

excellent point; ive been growing carnivorous plants for over a year now, thru the winter months when they should be allowed to undergo dormancy was the most difficult part. They are contained in a peat moss soil, and their diet consists of baby grasshoppers usually on the whim of 5 a month. When the plant wishes to consume no more, the lobes will not close nearly as fast and even then only slightly around the grasshopper. Ive noticed that plant tends to either undergo more photosynthesis when it no longer eats bugs, or it is using the water for some kind of replenishment of its chemicals b/c the amount of water it then consumes is amazing! YT... undecided as of yet, i had an idea a couple of days ago but that was eradicated when i heard of another person applying a direct current to a plant stem resulting in death a few days later. If u have ideas i would like to hear them!

ive bumped this thread b/c i will be doing this experiment! I went to the home depot tonite and purchased 6 carnivorous venus fly traps, and 6 italian basil plants(serves 2 purposes;)) 3 of each will be used as the constant, the other 3 will be subjected to sporadic pulses of electricity during the times they are photosynthesizing. I do not know of any possible outcomes as of yet, im thinking the addition of this current will definately.. change something lol... im hoping, or i raised the value of home depot stock

awesome! i hope everything works out well for you. When i was younger, i thought if i used a strong enough engine, it would propel my heavy rocket as high as intended. Mind u, i had so much trust in the large engine, i made the rocket without using light materials. A pvc tube, aluminum fins, and a cedar nose.... it lifted off 50 feet and then came straight down into me mum's windshield..

A very complicated, biological reaction requiring light: photosynthesis. YT, Agitation would not fit under surface area, since under any specific area the reaction can be agitated. Whether its a test tube of 20 mL or a test tube of 100mL, agitation provides 'excessive' collisions between molecules. Atoms/molecules can only interact with each other if they are being 'hit' by another atom/molecule. Increasing the collision frequency is directly proportionate to bonds created.

Might that be how they determine chemical composition of rocks?

basically. rna copies the code off dna and sends it to ribosomes and such

Questions I have always wondered about- Please Answer
Hades replied to ed84c's topic in Other Sciences
this kid reminds me of myself at that age, except without wondering if my eyesight would improve if i inject NH3 and green gas into my cornea.... but hey all is well. when u ask question 10, are u asking why this doesnt happen in all atoms? It typically does. When a single atom of (H) is introduced to say, heat energy, the single valence electron jumps up to increasing shells because of the excess energy it is receiving. As this energy decreases, the electron falls back down to its original orbital and as its falling, it gives off this energy in the form of light. -
an easy one, the incomplete combustion of CO2 in an engine gives off CO, a very harmful gas.

What is KNO3 used for in horticulture?
Hades replied to Ice_Phoenix87's topic in Inorganic Chemistry
to determine moles of a chemical, u must know the mass in terms of grams. then multiply this number by 1/molecular weight or simply divide it by molecular weight. Well take OH- . i cant remember the atomic mass of O so im gonna round, i think its 16. H is 1.007. H= 1.007 O= 16 17.007(g) if u have 10 grams of the compound, either multiply 10.000g x 1/17.007 OR divide 10.000g/17.007 the answer is .588 mol or if u have molarity and volume, u can determine mol this way as well. Take M(molarity) and multiply by L(liters) MV= moles -
i appreciate your help crash, but i dont want to risk someone's for a few experiments. Im going to see what final costs shipped to my door are, of the chemicals i mentioned from that site i came upon.

Im not looking for anything explosive, if thats your concern. Simply your basic reactions, titrations, crystallizations... etc. Na, Li, K, Cl, and some compounds to utilize gases in an aqueous state, such as NaOH, and a strong acid like HNO3.

as a matter of fact, i just found a site that will deliver to a residence. http://www.pfaltzandbauer.com im rather surprised as to the prices of some compounds. Theyre extremely expensive.

i had to bump this thread b/c im unable to find either a website or store that i can purchase elemental chemicals from. Im required to either be associated with a school etc., or need a legit reason. Is my only option a garden shop in which to extract these chemical elements from?

its insecure people like that doctor who believe that fossils we uncover are just a small selection of gods pottery. occums razor my friend, when the japanese bombed pearl harbor, we knew they wanted war, not to exchange pleasantries. if we take a brief look at the most obvious answer, if evolution exists in any form, thus it should be evolution on a planetary scale. Gods 'creations' were perfect in design; wouldnt that mean they could not evolve if they were perfect?

I dont know whether this belongs in here but this has been weighing on my thoughts recently. Imagine a sheet of ice only a millimeter thick. If i throw a rock at this sheet of ice, obviously the ice will shatter. But how does it shatter on the atomic level? If we could see individual molecules, then what happens at the breaking point? What im asking, does the energy from the rock transfer into the chemical bonds releasing them from one another thus allowing the ice to break apart? Or do the molecules remain intact, being moved by the force of the rock?

ignorant question perhaps, what would these other two dimensions ... be, basically? edit: other 22 dimenions look like? or their concepts?

great thread! as said before these abnormally shaped prions are easily recognized by the cells that compose the brain, and flow into the spinal cord and ive heard some liver cells. Its said that since these proteins, only recognized by those previously mentioned cells, are the reason u cannot get mad cow disease from say, a sirloin steak. Those that became infected were due to hastiness on behalf of the meat packing plants that grind organs in with trim and chuck to add more weight to the chopmeat; it also contaminates anything the meat touches in effect causing the meat plant to shut down and then having the herd of catle the meat came from be slaughtered. I think the number was a million or so cattle were put down as a result in canada recently. The worst part about this is how long it can take before we know about either being infected or whether weve been exposed
