  1. Well i don't want it to sound offensive: but you can't prove that, can you?
  2. Who are you quoting? For example, who said "unless" in a previous conversation that you feel the need to quote now?
  3. This is a discussion forum. Hence, we tend to discuss things. Please quit your bitching and join in, or leave. You are making a spectacle of yourself.
  4. If you want to pretend you are ignorant of what is happening here that's fine too. But it is one of your many traits that annoy people here.
  5. You might want to at least consider the possibility that you are in some way bringing this on yourself. If you want to change your approach that is fine. If you are happy with your approach and have no intention of changing, that is fine too. Either way a little introspection never hurt anyone.
  6. No problems mate! 😃
  7. I know of the South Atlantic Anomaly (related to the Van Allen Belt) and the Bermuda Triangle (related to paranormal activity or extraterrestrials) as two different things. Can you clarify what you are speaking about?

  9. Yes, people seem to compartmentalize quite well. I remember reading about a serial killer who didn't rape his victims only because he felt that would be cheating on his wife.
  10. Trump would have been a shoo-in if he had simply acted like a normal human being: Don't criticize gold star families. Don't criticize dead men (e.g. McCain). Don't call Hispanics 'rapists'. Don't be a misogynist in public. Don't be a racist in public. Don't steal children and put them in cages. Or the one that would have been enough all by itself: admit that a virus can make people sick and act accordingly. I"m sure there are many I didn't mention, but my point is that Trump has been shooting himself in the foot for years and if he would have paused just a bit he may have been able to start celebrating his next term late last night. I can't really convey how disappointed and embarrassed I am that so many of my fellow citizens accept, and even celebrate, his behavior.
  11. I find your approach to this forum to be very annoying. You speak as if you are an authority when it is obvious based on your comments that you are ignorant of much of what you speaking to. By suggesting that science is only represented by a final 'formula', you are ignoring the 99.99999% of science that preceded it, and all of the successes along the way that brought us to that point.
  12. Perhaps you can show that animals have been growing larger since the last mass extinction?
  13. Three have horsepower. One is a horse's ass.
  14. Okunikko, Japan: Kegon Falls, in Nikko National Park, are surrounded by Mongolian oak, maple, azalea and other trees, making it a particularly beautiful spot in autumn. Ryohei Moriya/The Yomiuri Shimbun/AP
  15. I don't see how the line can be drawn at whether or not you are making money. Unless the terms "athlete" and "scientist" are governed by a recognized body they will be viewed differently by different people. A volunteer doing bench work in a lab is doing science as much as the person getting paid to do the same thing. High school kids competing for the Westinghouse Science Talent Search are certainly doing science. My son played basketball, soccer and baseball for his high school Varsity teams. I played rugby for my college team. I'm surprised we might not have been considered athletes just because we didn't make money or play at the highest level of the sport.
  16. College football players.
  17. I'm sure that would be a surprise to the Olympians who won gold medals back when competitors had to be amateurs.
  18. Boo. Bad form. Really one of the worst offenses you can perpetrate on this site.
  19. That's far from true.
  20. Ooh, scary! Good thing we Deep State/Global Government to keep the general public in the dark.
  21. You don't miss much, do you?
  22. Yeah, who'd have thought? Nice to see a pope who doesn't think we are still in the 17th century. 😀
