Perhaps they could find someone to track her whereabouts to see if she is doing anything disreputable. That would allow them to discredit her, and perhaps force her resignation.

OMG that was hilarious!!

Didn't realize I was being righteous. Thought I was pointing out an Ad hominem.

Up until that post I never told him to STFU. Do you have any comment on the dozen other things I listed that he said about me/us in this thread? Do you agree with him that we come across as " anyone not agreeing with the mass is either a troll, is stupid, or is just a liar"? If he says that to us don't you think he should back up his assertions? If not, why not? Frankly I'm tired of him slinging shit at us throughout this thread, with his main complaint being that WE sling a lot of shit.
-
Are not my opinions of his behavior as valid as his opinion of my behavior? Has he supplied the examples of our bad behavior that we've requested? Frankly I cannot understand your support of this poster He has compared "us" or accused us of: - A standard attitude of “STFU, you stupid, ignorant denier" - That we "routinely sling ad homs, insults , and tell others to STFU" - "insults flying" - "boorish behavior" - That we "tell people to STFU and calling them liars, trolls , and ignorant" - That " anyone not agreeing with the mass is either a troll, is stupid, or is just a liar" - "snakiness and snideness" - "a general attitude than anyone who doesn't agree might possibly be a liar" And these "insults" to us have been repeated multiple times in this thread with no substantiation. Frankly I'm growing tired of his boorish, insulting behavior and wish he would just STFU.

How is that germane? is there some correlation between philosophy of Rights and specific types behaviors by slave owners I am unaware of?

Right here in the OP. Surely you haven't forgotten what you posted?!?! So does that mean your workmates in the discussion included women or not?

The statement you quoted was accurate. We know with certainty that there are many people ignorant of the causes of climate change. It is a difficult topic for the layperson so this should come as no surprise. Additionally, we know that many people lie about climate change for political reasons. It is not possible that those ignorant of climate change are overwhelmingly Republicans and thus is seems reasonable to assume they are lying for political purposes. There is nothing rude or snarky about calling a liar a liar, nor is there anything wrong with pointing out someone's ignorance. We're not here to make people feel better about themselves and we don't apologize for telling the truth. Perhaps you are taking offense because you are ignorant of the factors impacting climate change.

LOL! I'm guessing none of your work mates were women or you'd be unable to type right now. If you are going to claim men are so much more capable then women you'd best be prepared to back it up with evidence. Can you?

I think people mistakenly believe what goes on at the top is also what goes on at the bottom. That can lead to a flawed view of whatever the particular situation is. Following the news tells you that Republicans and Democrats all hate each other. I know plenty of both and have never experienced any harsh exchange other than on anonymous online boards. People are still addressing issues together where the rubber meets the road. Similarly for religion. When I started here I was shocked how much everyone was against religion. While the leadership was indeed spouting anti-LGBT rhetoric and protecting pedophiles, from my perspective (many years of a Catholic environment) religion meant a bunch of friendly people who looked out for each other, talked about their kids, and perhaps drank too much beer. From the top things may be a mess, but the top is only one small (and temporary) part of the big picture.

Must be nice to hail from someplace that has everything figured out. Good for you. Until we've found the utopia you have, we'll just have to make the best of things and not let a few miscreants determine the outcome of our lives.

Only 10% of the Nobel prize winners are atheist ?
zapatos replied to Daniel Wilson's topic in Religion
Since about 40% of scientists are atheist (https://www.pewforum.org/2009/11/05/scientists-and-belief/) how do you explain the underperformance of atheists when it come to the Nobel Prize? -
Because it doesn't matter. Pick one. Pros and cons going both ways. If stronger they can lift more. If stronger they need more resources to survive. More food. More clothing. Bigger vehicles. There is nothing inherently beneficial about the strength of man. It is an arbitrary target.
-
Because the objective of the OP was was make them equivalent.
-
Strength is relative. If today's strongest men could only bench press 100 pounds then saying we should make women as strong as men means they could only pick up a large sack of potatoes. There is nothing magical about the strength of men. Why not target everyone to be as strong as a gorilla, or an elephant?
-
So why not make the men more like the women?
-
Well, for one they seem to have a better understanding of biology, psychology and sociology than some men.
-
I was thinking it might make more sense to erase the differences between males and females, by making the males more like the females.

I don't really follow them either which is probably why I am unsure if what I'm reading is even true. It caught my eye because like some other 'celebrities', there seems to be a general dislike for her and the reasons why are unknown to me. On top of that, the royal family seems to be very active in the dealings of the country even though they have next to no authority to do anything. It's all so murky to me.

Maybe we are talking about different things. I was referring to the many critiques from multiple newspaper articles, not just a single article.
