How large of an area do they form in? Millions of square miles? I'm guessing the answer is "no", you will not be able to prevent them from forming in the first place.

Energy that does not have a cost. You can roll a ball down an incline and use its motion to generate electricity. The cost of that energy is the work it takes to put the ball on top of the incline so that it can roll down again. If you could find a way to move the ball back to the top of the incline for less cost than the energy you generate by rolling it down the incline, you would have free energy. The Ferris wheel looking thing you saw is a device someone claims will do just that. They are wrong. As the Second Law of Thermodynamics tells us, "Even at Best You Can't Break Even".

To me this misses the point. The focus should be on ensuring homosexuals (and everyone else) has equal opportunity for various roles. Focusing on one type of role ignores the fact that a lot of thought goes into casting, and it may even limit opportunities in the future as the next group may claim that since they were actually poor farmers before going into acting, that only they can play a poor farmer with conviction.

Yeah, sorry. I tried to delete my post but I waited too long.

I have to agree with koti's observation that he's probably just an asshole. The world is full of them. Trying to understand what happened is likely an exercise in futility.
-
Perhaps we should aim for simply answering questions and increasing understanding without the observations about a person's relative ignorance on a particular subject.

It would be surprising to me if the only thing keeping someone from considering wind turbines "viable" is that they don't shut down for that fraction of time during its life when a hurricane is hitting it.
-
This article seems to suggest that turbines shut down in hurricanes. https://www.energy.gov/eere/articles/how-do-wind-turbines-survive-severe-storms Edit: Cross posted with Sensei

So you know what they know. Those are some impressive powers you have.

HGH when a child.

Let me Google that for you: http://bfy.tw/JIxJ

Sorry, you don't just get to lob a pile of coyote poop and run off. If you want to disparage a claim that includes evidence, you need to provide some counter evidence.

Admittedly my exposure is primarily in the US, but other than a few exceptions it has been my experience that if you start out poor you end up poor. Same for middle class and rich.

If the sun disappeared Earth would still orbit for 8 mins?
zapatos replied to Alfred001's topic in Relativity
The way it was explained to me was that gravity travels at c, just as we've seen with gravity waves. If the sun were to suddenly disappear, the geometry of space would necessarily change, with that change propagating outward from the location of the sun at c. Meaning we would continue to orbit until the change in geometry reached us. -
Do you have to be cleverer than Einstein to disprove his theories?
zapatos replied to studiot's topic in The Lounge
Agreed. I meant to imply by saying "any (relative) moron" that they were only morons relative to Einstein. You need to be well versed in physics to have any hope of successfully challenging some aspect of Relativity. -
Because I'm tired of your bullshit tactics of moving the goalposts every time you are challenged.

Part of my job is to poke holes in the very well thought out and constructed plans of others. They've done the hard work and put something together that was beyond my capabilities. Yet by looking at things from a different perspective and in my area of expertise, focusing on small details, I'm often able to find problems. It took someone special to build Relativity. Any (relative) moron can toss stones at it to see if there are weaknesses. -
You do this all the time. You make a claim then when asked for evidence you talk about something else and pretend it is the same thing. It's getting old.
-
To be fair, when people say they 'believe in ghosts', they are generally assumed to be talking about an apparition of a dead person, not God.
-
Yes, please provide one link that says people "think those ghosts play a role in evolution."
-
Could be, although not that I've ever heard of.
