Correct. Other than bragging rights, the drubbing is irrelevant now that the election is over. I see your point that the Democrats have a weak record, but my question remains. Where do the voters go when they feel like BOTH parties haven't been helping them? Don't you choose the party with the better record? Unless you are saying you believe the Republicans have the better record.

Unless of course workers are also the people who buy things that have tariffs on them. Presumably when you go to the store you are not looking to pay the highest price you can find. Lower prices by one manufacturer force competitors to control costs or improve products to stay competitive. That is considered a good thing.

I'm unsure where Bernie is coming from. The Democrats address the issues of the working class, health care and wealth inequality much better than the Republicans do.

My take on the election is that it didn't matter who the Democratic candidate was, when they started, who endorsed them, the clarity of their message, etc. What mattered was that a majority of the voters wanted Trump. He was going to win no matter who or what the Democratic candidate was. Any message from the Democrat that would appeal to Trump voters would alienate Democratic voters. Trump represents what the majority of Americans have become, or more likely, always were.

LOL! It is rare when someone actually admits they are lying. Now we get to see if he is also lying about 'going away'.

Have you ever noticed that some pieces of toast look like Jesus? I don't think "looks like" is enough to draw any conclusions about the possibility of toast performing miracles.

Yes, that is what it means. No Republican candidate for President has won the majority of the popular vote in 20 years. Electoral votes come from states. If the majority of a state votes for the Republican, then the Republican gets ALL the electoral votes for that state (usually). For simplicity, imagine there are only three states with 100 citizens each. Of those 300 citizens, 175 vote for Harris and 125 vote for Trump. Each state gets one electoral vote because they each have the same number of citizens. Suppose: State A has 100 citizens voting for Harris. Harris wins the state and one electoral vote. State B has 40 citizens voting for Harris, 60 for Trump. Trump wins the state and one electoral vote. State C has 35 citizens voting for Harris, 65 for Trump. Trump wins the state and the one electoral vote. Result: Harris wins the popular vote, 175 to 125. Trump wins the electoral vote, 2 to 1. Trump is the next president.

A little lengthy for a bumper sticker but I appreciate the effort.

So if things were different they wouldn't be the same. You got me there. Just because you avoid violating the letter of the rules while continuously violating the spirit of the rules, doesn't mean you get to avoid being labeled a troll.

This is why I keep getting thrown off. If someone on earth boards a spacecraft and heads for a distant star at a velocity near c, don't they measure the distance between themselves and the star as shorter than what an observer on earth would measure as the distance between the spacecraft and the star? The distance between the spacecraft and the star is not an "object". So what principle tells us why the distance to the star is shortened for the person in the spacecraft? If it is not length contraction, then what is it?
