  1. The lad is a computer geek and loves it. Actually we have a rather extended family and could probable pay for his schooling without too much pain, but that's not what he wants. He hears well now with modern technology and is loving every minute of it. I trust his judgement, regardless of his decision.
  2. Let's hang on to Allen West, We have enough trouble just trying to sort out the other BS.
  3. Having a 24 year old grandson with a hearing impediment is crushing. Knowing that he was not allowed to graduate from High School because of his transcripts being lost, infuriated me. After some arm twisting and threatening gestures, miraculously they showed up. He is on the bottom rung of society today because of this malady. A few weeks ago my daughter, his aunt; took him to a lab and had tests done in this regard. $4,000.oo later and with proper hearing aids, this lad can hear very good. At present, he works 2 full time jobs that he would never have likely had without the aids. He wants to go to college if our family can somehow pull it off, without student loans. Do you think I'm not proud of him? http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/13/business/student-loans-weighing-down-a-generation-with-heavy-debt.html?pagewanted=all
  4. I don't know what to tell you about Huckabee other than the video. And as far as to personal rights and privacy, how do we determine which side is giving us a screwing, or is it both? With the present administration making tax changes, raising our national debt exponentially and even trying to alter our constitution, I feel threatened by them. Personally I don't blame Obama as much as his cabinet. A president is only one person, the people who advise him is another thing entirely. But being a rightwing leaning Hick, I want him out of there come November.
  5. I'm not a bible thumper but I believe in giving the devil his due. West is as clear a dignitary as I've ever heard. Huckabee is a neoconservative and bible thumper, but I've never caught him wrapped up in a lie. So, West must be pleasing a lot of people, noting the donations to his war chest.A 10 minute video that pretty well sums up his stand on our nations situation. http://www.therightscoop.com/allen-west-true-racism-lies-among-white-liberals-who-think-black-conservatives-need-approval-from-their-masters/
  6. I appreciate you posting this link and I feel like an idiot for taking a friends word for the "garbage" I posted. I make mistakes at times through ignorance, but to make on through stupidity takes away my credibility. I apologise to those who read my trash post, relating to the three Fannie Mae stooges, Winkin, Blinkin and Nod. I aplogise especially to JohnB to whom I posted it.
  7. I suppose it'll only happen when both sides run out of real estate?
  8. Heck of it was, I received it from a friend that has always been reliable. Believe me, I've been on his butt all day; especially since Moon straightened me out.
  9. I have read these historical events of Obama's coming to power, even though you think not. Yet, I believe he has done little in his endeavours as a senator or as president, other than write a couple of books. But what has been his accomplishments? Discontentment? Diversion and division? Total partisan politics and welfare enough to break the bank? Give me a reason for not disparaging his term in office.
  10. I recant my accusation concerning these "three donkeys" being in Obmas employee. I received it from what I thought to be a reliable source and without researching it, added fuel to the fire. My sincerest apology.
  11. Didn't Bill Clinton do the same thing in 69 or 70? And I think he went on to become a pretty fair president. I know the Lewinsky gal thought so! Not for the full 15 years he hasn't! Colonel Allen West was born the same year as Obama, and spent a career in the military plus going to college. Obama somehow managed (financially) to junket around the world and go to Harvard without having to work. He did nothing while in the senate as far as records show, and even less as president other than to completely divide this country into warring camps. Well, November will be here before we know it.
  12. To show you how our politics work JohnB, take a look at this: Where are the happy trio of: Jim, Tim, and Franklin now? In case you are wondering how their ineptitude at Fannie Mae affected their lives after ruining the dreams of so many others, let me refresh the scenario: Where are Jim, Tim and Franklin? Here's a quick look into the three former Fannie Mae executives who brought down Wall Street. Franklin Raines - was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear. Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the c ompany's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million! Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as his Chief Economic Advisor. TIM HOWARD? Howard is a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama under Franklin Raines. JIM JOHNSON? Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee. Yes my friend, many of us here in the states are "batshit" to some degree, and most governments are rotten to some extent, but this one; to the core! As an impartial onlooker, would you say that we are stupid or what?
  13. That's not the way you portrayed Colonel West, Moon? At best, your analysis was hypocritical until you realised you had screwed up.
  14. I didn't question his elgibility for Viet Nam, only where the hell has he been for the past 15 years, the same as this ranting, worthless idiot impersonating a news reporter?
  15. If he could actually walk on water, you would still find him and his American ideals repulsive. A day will come when all Blacks realise that: "Back of the Bus" is a forgotten metaphor, and those who seek nothing more than foment will find a country that don't give a crap for their wild ideas.
  16. Where do you get this kind of garbage Moon? I don't care much for Romney either, but to hear this "IDIOT" lash out at anyone he pleases, is atrocious. Where did this fuckhead spend his time these past 10 to 12 years? The jerk is only hoping to get another paycheck from people like you before he's found out to be the ass he is. I want to vomit when he speaks. On top of that, where the hell was Obama during the same time frame?
  17. Had I been in West's shoes and knowing the conditions that might ensue for his men, I would have put a round so close to that MFs ear, he would never hear out of it again. And I'm 'almost" non-provocable. I think?
  18. Sorry about that JohnB. The movie was just some of our good old U.S. of A. propaganda during WWII, but the documentary about that little atoll is pure gold. Our main problem today is that many of us have moved into this modern era so quickly we have forgotten that the past is what brought us here. On occasion we all need a good: "swift kick", to get our attention.
  19. When did all of this happen? I don't fool with the news much and tried looking on the internet, but only found charges about him firing a gun close to a prisoners head during interrogation. That got him tossed from the military. I can't find a thing about him assulting women. I've already questioned you in the followingt post, and glad it's all figured out. But since I didn't post that post, no problem.
  20. I'd appreciate it if you could direct me to a link offering such information. This is the first I've heard about it.
  21. Noyhing! Other than the fact he follows a regimen of honesty, decency, intellect and what America is all about.
  22. A little atoll, Makin Island; but a piece of history in the Pacific that we should never forget. The first is a documentary. The second, a movie made in the later forties or early fifties. When remembering such things as this have slipped from our minds, it's only a matter of time 'til we internally destroy ourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=C6f_FvZpm3g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMBPsb6Euu4
  23. I hope Jackson and Sharpton fit into the same category?
  24. Perhaps I should have used, "Ignorance or Gullibility"? Maybe even fantasy?
  25. Not theory or even suppositions, but parallel universes is the dogma of idiots!
