  1. There was no need to explain my thoughts. And who mentioned "President", other than you? Some nerdy malcontents read too much into a statement. The man is in congress, not the white house. Now, if you would like to discuss the "?" who at present considers himself president, that would be another story, and a new post entirely. And can you justify your statement:
  2. Then I suggest you look at Mr. West's Bio. i'm not trying to make a federal case of this, it's only my opinion.
  3. What is the solution? Where are the answers to such a conundrum? Damn! What we realy need is another couple hundred years of abstract stupitidy and greed. Hell! By then even I might be able to figure it out. Remedial? You sound like a professor I once had, and he didn't make much sense by questioning my allegory either.
  4. Do you have a better solution?
  5. That's alright, I'm not too keen at computers either. On the other thing though, I try living in a real world Moon. I'm not, as I have stated before, the sharpest nail in the keg; but I don't have a head on both ends. To personally blame Obama for this "bottom out economic situation" we are in, would be rediculous. I just don't espouse his remedy as a cureall. There are those who woud devour this country ASAP. And unless we get our shit together as a nation of mutual understanding, it will eventually happen whether we like the idea or not..
  6. We've talked on this before Moon and you know my right wing leanings. However, I have never voted a straight Republican or Democratic ticket. Dennis Kucinich can vouch for that. This guy Allen West has been up front on just about everything I've ever heard him speak. But then, the way you lean; I suppose you don't care much for Rubio either?
  7. Talking politics is a ticklish subject under the best of conditions. To be engaged in them, even more challenging. This guy Allen West doesn't seem to come from a pampered background and has spent most of his adult life in the military. So, as a right wing leaning middle of the roader; this is the type of person I'd vote for, regardless of their political views.
  8. Perhaps a bit fuzzy? Personaly, I'd say fuzzier! I'm not denouncing science, only asking questions. You seem to think that shouldn't be allowed unless a person has a Phd in Physics or Cosmology. This section of the forum is for speculations, not absolute fact. And the age of the universe?
  9. At best, this tirade is pitiful!
  10. "Tooth Fairies" only trouble those who don't believe in anything but total reality. LOL. And millions of miles away? Why not make that light years? There are some very sharp people here on earth looking out there for answers. All we can do is hope they find them. Since I'm a hardass with my own convictions and can't hide my disdain for those who: "Know Everything", I'm usually out numbered. Cheers!
  11. Wish I could reply with some clarity, but the situation you bring up is too deep at present for anyone to even make a qualified guess. I do like the thought though!
  12. I don't believe in creation either, but I do believe in continuation. From where matter first came, none of us have anything more than a WAG? And even though great theories have been formulated by scientists understanding how elements fit into the the periodic table, they are still only theories. I wish science could put a handle on the origin of matter other than saying the universe began as something smaller than an atom and hotter than any understandable heat imaginable. And both, "without a known source".I just read a post about dust around a galxy simply vanishing in less than a lifetime and explaining it as what dark matter may be. ukgazzer posted it yesterday @1:20 PM. Called it, "Matter turning into Dark Matter". It's also in speculations, and interesting.
  13. I'm not keen on creation as such! But that this universe has been here forever, I do believe. And as you say, this part of the forum is speculative at best, and not scientific fact. I believe science is now at a crossroads of understanding what the universe is all about. And I believe the more science finds out about dark matter and dark energy will eventually lead them to what I believe is a cyclical universe. I don't care much for the big bang or big crunch, but a subtle building up of dark matter at the center of this continuum and sitting there quietly until all matter has finally been changed back into: "QUAUQS". Guess you could call it a new genesis?
  14. Something else to think about! Time before Time http://arxiv.org/ftp/physics/papers/0408/0408111.pdf
  15. Having read a mountain of materials, I'm still a rented mule, speaking scientifically. Came across this a few days back and was wondering how there could have been such heat in that first moment of time if nothing had yet been formed (atoms) to create such chaos? Dos any of the following make sense? If so, gimme!
  16. If you have ever fooled around with simple model planes, you'll note the main wings, usually a flat piece of balsa; is tilted slightly upward from back to front through the body of the plane. Air flowing into the wing front to back is restricted by this angle, thus creating pressure against the underside, while air flowing over the top actually creates something of a vacuum; depending on the angle. Other than acrobatic planes and rockets, the rest fly uphill to some degree.
  17. Again, I agree with a part of what you say because I believe the universe is cyclical. But then, can the the BB be explained as more than a myth that scientists concocted and have been playing "musical chairs" with the standard model for the past 100 years?
  18. If you listen and look closely at the final 3 minutes or so of this video, I believe you will understand that there is much more than conjecture in arguing your statement. Many of us will never be rocket scientist's, but I certainly respect those who are.
  19. It's not so much that it was hidden Zhou, but in finding the right combination to unlock its secret. The entire 2 hrs + of this video is mostly rhetoric of the past few years. The critical listening points are in the last 3 minutes or so. This is what science is all about, "Dedication, Love of a job; and Hard Work"
  20. I agree! But other than surreptitiouely, can you you provide me with where I can find some hard facts since mine are only ideas?
  21. What you seem to not understand is, the context of: see, touch or feel didn't come frome me and had no bearing on my statement at all. joatmon injected it and had you actually been reading instead if scanning my meaning, you would have not intermingled the two. And the super computer thing, that was your idea.
  22. You state that as a fact ydoaPs, and you are wrong. To be vialbe, a thing must only be capable of doing something worthwhile, not neccessarily created. The singularity, as scientist theorize the BB to have sprang from; would not have likely been a very good place to bring up kids or grow crops. And the matrix? Silly putty. Could you tell me why you consider it to be a false dichotomy without using a super computer hypothesis to explain it? And you chastise ydoaPs for using science fiction?
  23. . Those are your opinions, as mine are. Only opinions, not facts.
  24. Was watching some of Tom Cruise's divorce proceedings today and wondering if Scientology gave his wife a leg up as to why? This video is a short synopsis of who L Ron Hubbard was, but not how or why his cult, or religion was founded?
  25. I can't possibly find fault with your philosophical reasoning, simply because I haven't the intellectual ability to refute it. i have no idea what lies out beyond this universe, other than my thoughts? The experiments at CERN being conducted, are they worth their weigh as to the theory of the Higgs boson? I think so. Questions are only a quest for answers for those who search. Otherwise it's, "Oh well, that's just the way it is". If we should ever get to that point, who the hell will care?
