  1. System tray.
  2. Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to open a program but not have it show up on the stutus bar (or whatever it is called) in XP.
  3. Ok, atheist, I follow what you're saying. But when we reach that fraction of a degree away from absolute zero, exactly what is happening to the electrons?
  4. It was just a quick thought. I am really in no way qualified to answer the question but I thought I remember reading about it somewhere. Let me know what you come up with.
  5. Or you're just a bit crazy. The same ones who managed to get the pictures for you in the first place?
  6. Wait, it's sitting on a big rock? I didn't think there were allowed to be just plain rocks on Mars. I would've bet it was some kind of Martian bowling bowl.
  7. I would've guessed it had to do with how the matter was distributed immeadiatly following the big band. Relatively equal distrabution would result in galaxies of relatively equal size.
  8. I'm seeing reports of around 90% Black are the matured seeds, I believe.
  9. What could we be doing wrong? I think by considering ourselves the inteligent life on which we measure the others give us some sort of self-imposed advantage whether we are using the correct methods or not.
  10. So what are the chances there is an alien life form more inteligent than us? I'm going to change this to just within our galaxy for simplicity now. So I would say it is fairly low. We know that the stars on the spiral "arms" of our galaxy have been around long enough for planets to form and give life a chance to form also. We are capable of observing these in the greatest detail (as they are closest to us) and continue to do so. I would say that if life in our galaxy was reasonably more inteligent than us, we would have seen some kind of trace, something that just wasn't right. As far as I know we haven't, so I'll put the odds at a low.
  11. Well in that case, I propose the first place we look for extraterrestrial life is at the center of the sun, you know, just in case...
  12. Sure, so why should more time and money be spent looking at Jupiter's core for life than elsewhere?
  13. True, but we're talking about the odds of it.
  14. That happened after this part.
  15. What was meant was that if you look at data collected, evidence says life will have a better chance on a planet like our own. Since we and many other creatures live here, we know life on these kinds of planets is possible. We haven't found any evidence of life that can live at the core of Jupiter. Until we find reason to believe that could happen, it remains "imaginary" and an inefficient use of time and money.
  16. That scene was filmed in Chicago anyway. And that train would've had to accelerate pretty quick and then suddenly slow down to make that happen. Yeah, I guess it's possible, but not very likely.
  17. Spiderman was moving faster than the train, though, because he was thrown forward.
  18. The three in post #4. Oh, and the really big one. On the train, Doc Oc throws Spiderman who then goes flying through the trusses of the bridge and somehow appears behind Doc Oc. So not only should Spiderman have been ahead of Doc Oc at this point, the movie shows he's now gaining speed and catching up with Doc Oc who somehow got ahead of him.
  19. Well then there's the three that came right to the top of my head. If anymore come I post. Why do you want them?
  20. What are you looking for? Something like the fact that he shoots a web to a building off to the side and yet manages to swing stright down the middle? Or like how he's standing on the tallest building around and manages to shoot a web up to another building? Or the whole cold fusion thing?
  21. I was looking through a book talking about the history of the number pi and it was talking for a few pages about the search for a way to find a circle and square of equal area. It talked about the Egyptians and their method and went on to the Greek ideas but never exactly explained what the problem is and why there isn't a solution. I ran out of time looking through the book, so maybe I missed this later on, but could someone explain a little about this?
  22. How are bat and strike synonomous? (yes I know I shouldn't have posted again so quick but I had to ask. Sorry.) Pike= spear King Lear
  23. fried= fat bat
  24. You can't trisect a side? Pierce= Ear Rear
