  1. I don't know, I am asking. I suppose the changes would involve some basic assumptions about calculating probabilities. For example, waht would happen if a diffrent formula is used for joint probabilities: P(A or B) diffent from P(A)+P(B)-P(A&B) YOu get my idea...
  2. Everybody says that the experimental violation of Bell's inequalities validates quantum mechanics and denies local realism. But Bell's theorem is based on the standard formulas for correlations and expected values, which are very intuitive but still arbitrary. Has anybody ever mentioned that local realism and violation of Bell's inequalities can be compatible if we change some rules for calculating proabilities and correlations?
  3. If anybody is still looking for the original paper, I remember something appearing in Phys Rev A some weeks ago. There's also a recent review of the result in Nature. Sorry I can't give more details.
  4. Help please! Two associative functions on the the unit square: [0,1]^2 -->[0,1] x,y --> T(x,y) and S(x,y) What is the ordinal sum of these two functions on [0,1]^2 ? I know it is not T(x,y)+S(x,y) Does ordinal some have something to do with ordinal numbers? Thanks
