This is a science website , not a theological one. So you should believe what the evidence shows. So, for example, you should believe that Obama is not a socialist. BTW, in any other Western country he would be viewed as a fairly right wing Conservative.

Better still, post a video. Anyway, PU foam won't take the heat. I think you might be stuck with fibreglass.
-
If it's hot enough to melt the bismuth that will probably do, but red hot will be quicker.
-
The fumes/debris from burning PU foam are probably more of a health problem than fibreglass.

No, many of them now use machines made by a company owned by one of Romey's sons (so that's OK ). http://www.huffingtonpost.com/keith-thomson/could-romney-linked-elect_b_2025490.html

Since it's not got to last very long, could you use timber and/ or wood wool? It will pretty much certainly catch fire but if it's done the job by then, that won't matter.

The annihilation creates a pair of photons.

Rigney, Thanks for letting us know where you get your information. Now please answer the question. Unless you are accusing someone of handing it out, there's no way I could smell the crap is there? That's my point. You are contradicting yourself. So, lets get this straight Exactly what crap are you saying is being handed out? Who is doing it? What evidence is there to back up your accusation (even if you insist that it's not an accusation)? I predict a non-answer- go on- be a devil- prove me wrong and actually answer the questions.

Why 122 nm? Why not 121.5? It's an arbitrary choice so it's not a valid basis for a calculation.

Sun color related to atmospheric pressure?
John Cuthber replied to Moontanman's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
If the air was rather less than 10 times denser, you would be able to see the back of your head due to refraction. (light nearer the surface travels through slightly denser air and is held back so light tends to curve slightly downwards. With a denser atmosphere light would curve down far enough to hit the ground. Somewhere in between it would follow the curvature of the earth.) Not sure what that does for a sunset. -
Can you do maths with it and predict real world things like the wavelengths of light emitted by hydrogen atoms in an arc lamp? If not then the resemblance to QM is a superficial coincidence.

It seems to be a matter of nomenclature but the premier is generally viewed as being part of the cabinet here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/election/article-1280554/The-coalition-millionaires-23-29-member-new-cabinet-worth-1m--Lib-Dems-just-wealthy-Tories.html Anyway, it's a red herring until you answer the question. how to make concentrated hydrogen peroxide?
John Cuthber replied to chilled_fluorine's topic in Inorganic Chemistry
Sure, but what does that achieve? You start with percarbonate and get percarbonate back again. -
OK Rigney, I will try again Unless you are accusing someone of handing it out, there's no way I could smell the crap is there? That's my point. You are contradicting yourself. No, it's objectively true that your equation is unfounded. If you want to do something about that (and you should) please provide some foundation for it.

You mentioned it in the first line of the first post in this thread. Were you not paying attention to who it was that you accused of lying? Oh, no I see you were not. No Rigney, I was referring to your allegation that someone had done something wrong. Specifically, even after Obama's broadcast (Sept 12) you said "Who murdered our Ambassador in Benghazi, Libya? I know he is dead along with 3 of his comrades, but why? It has been a month now and Obama's cabinet has said nothing that rings of truth" (my emphasis added). Obama is part of his own cabinet. He did say things (in that broadcast) If you say that he said "nothing that rings of truth" and you know he said something then you are accusing him of lying. So the answer to your question about when you accused him of lying was that you accused him of lying in the opening post of this thread. Don't try to wriggle out of it. After you have answered the question I have asked a number of times in the past, you might want to explain why it would matter if you had called the Queen a liar. Please don't try to use it as a distraction again. Hopefully you have realised by now that such a ploy won't work. Here's the question again. OK Rigney, I will try again Unless you are accusing someone of handing it out, there's no way I could smell the crap is there? That's my point. You are contradicting yourself. So, lets get this straight Exactly what crap are you saying is being handed out? Who is doing it? What evidence is there to back up your accusation (even if you insist that it's not an accusation)? Daniton, have a look at part 3 http://www.chem.qmul.ac.uk/surfaces/scc/scat4_2.htm Timo, how good are you with google?

This "then if you make it a requirement that the service is unbroken (which was very common)" is an arbitrary decision that adversely affects women more than men. It's indirect sexual discrimination and it's probably illegal in the UK under the equality act(2010) "if you have different laws and protections governing permanent part-time employment and permanent full-time employment (almost universally less protection and benefits for part-time employees); the upshot is that women, many of who are part-time and who are the majority of part-time employees are treated differently than men who tend to be the full-time employees. Same laws for everyone - but those laws have a non-deliberate (?) structural penalty to women workers " So, it's time to change the law again.

Yes, a photon is it's own anti-particle.

The allegation is that Obama lied. Rigney's contention is that Romney would have done that better. It's plausible enough. Romney has had more practice at lying.

Do you mean Vote to see who is the favourite of some of the people on SFN It might be interesting to see how the rest of the world would vote if they could.

how to make concentrated hydrogen peroxide?
John Cuthber replied to chilled_fluorine's topic in Inorganic Chemistry
So, if you evaporate down a solution of H2O2 and sodium carbonate, you get the stuff sold as percarbonate. If you dissolve that stuff in water again and evaporate it down you get... Well, I'm not betting against getting the same stuff again. (Give or take some decomposition) -
No. Boiling mercury is very dense- it sloshes around and, if/when it bumps, it breaks the glassware. The glass is half way to it's maximum temperature limit and that reduces its strength. Then it runs down into the heater and boils off. The vapour floods out and contaminates the area: that area stays contaminated until someone puts a lot of effort into a clean up. The bromine is much less likely to break the glass. If it does, a fair bit of it will run down onto the heater and will, quite probably react with it. So your heater's dead. Very sad, give it a decent funeral. The remaining bromine is dispersed into the atmosphere and diluted to a point where it's harmless. Seriously, which site would you be happier visiting an hour later, a bromine spill or a mercury spill?
