  1. Ahh those were the good ole days
  2. Yesterday during my 3ds Max class, someone next to me was[i don't think they were in the class; it's a VERY relaxed environment ] was doing this Rubik's Cube like flash game. It's pretty sweet. Check it out, it's called 3DLogic And speaking of Rubik's Cube, that really got me into puzzle games[i'm trying to expand my mind so I can be a better programmer:D], so I think I'm giong to get a Rubik's Cube soon. I guess it was a fad a few years back, still looks fun. Any of you play with Rubik's Cubes?
  3. So I guess this doesn't really work then?
  4. Sweet...finally! Thanks
  5. OK...so are they physically possible??
  6. Ahh, I thought that's what they were...I searched wikipedia for holographics and such and found that term. So the Star Wars type holograms are "projected vlumetric holograms"? Back to the OP question: Are projected volumetric holograms physically possible?? No one has directly answered that yet..... Thanks
  7. LOL.....umm, yeah... Ah, but were they "free floating" or enclosed in a half-sphere with some rotating mirror thingy? Would you happen to have a link? I'd still be interested...
  8. Is it physically possible to generate the type of holographics as seen in Star Wars?

    MDI Air Car??

Has anyone seen this? Both France and Australia are developing a car that runs on compressed air......right... Air Car French Air Car Aussie Air Car
  10. Ugh. How can we even attempt to say we fully understand the climate sytem??? We've had natural warming and cooling periods long before fossil fuels were used. And doesn't ONE volcanic eruption put out more greenhouse gases in A SINGLE eruption the ALL of humanity in a year??? Damn ecofreaks.
  11. Interesting, but I thought scientists were against fossil fuels?
  12. Oh.....no wonder I couldn't get through....that was getting anoying Thanks!
  13. Now we just need to start classifying planets like they do in Star Trek
  14. Trillian, X Chat, HydraIRC, and IceChat couple months old, oh well
  15. May have asked this before.... Anyway, do any current theories predict "hyperspace" or "subspace" like phenomenons/dimensions? I was wondering if energy could be extracted from them, but that would probably violate conservation of energy; because bringing in new energy would enable you to create new mass (E=mc2). I thought it wouldn't violate it because you were using it, but acually it would just be changing into mechanical motin and conservation of energy would still be violated, unless you could send it back to "hyperspace" or "subspace". Your thoughts? (How do we know conservation of energy is right anyway? )
  16. Like I said, I haven't figured that out yet And is that plasmagnetic levitation stuff ever going to be viable, is it even scientifically sound?
  17. What if you placed something next to it that could be charged by the heat? Also, even if my first idea is the basis of an electric engine, could the same concept still be used in my idea? I was thinking of having a power source where normal engines are today that charge the electro-magnets and repel each other, causing the car to move---hopefully....if my phyics right off the top of my head is right.....I never took a "pure" phyiscs in high school...too much for my head
  18. Oh...crap.. Yeah, heard of it...is that even practical?
  19. Ok, under the sub-group Magnetic. Hmm, I haven't thought of a power source (), but I was thinking of utilizing the concept that drives maglev trains somehow... I was just thinking: What about two magnetic rings, opposite poles so they repel each other, inside each other, composing the wheels. The power plant would of course be where engines normally are. Hmm, the only problem with that would be that they would have to be electro magnets so you could turn them on and off, otherwise they would be constantly repelling each other and you couldn't control it. (^^Illustrates the basic idea of this thread.)
  20. Because I'm obsessed with finding an alternative to gasoline...not because I'm an ecofreak, but you can guess why! Besides, a little thinking couldn't hurt Topic: Alternate power plants/engines for cars. Subcategories: Electric Ethanol/E85 Hydrogen Magnetic Other
  21. Would gas and oil companies be able to get rid of the patents somehow? What exactly would be their motive? Can something like that be covered up so well?

    Cooling Tips?

  23. Ah, so this ozone stuff is different from the atmosphere's ozone layer thingy? :-p
  24. Ohhhh I just need a desktop nuclear reactor then
  25. Really!? Do tell
