  1. Anyone posting information about deadly weapons should get rewards similar to the referal system.
  2. Must be nice to actually do labs in AP biology. We just listened to the teacher talk. Every day. For a year. Rather than actually doing experiments, he just described them. It was much more beneficial tho, as there were maybe 1-2 questions on the standard set of AP bio experiments on the exam, none of which required more than a description. Not wasting time with experiments helped me to get a 5 on it.
  3. Actually it appears the way the blocks were moved was using rollers to eliminate kinetic friction. That way it only took a few people to move one of the blocks along a level surface, and a few more to move it up an incline.
  4. Quantum superposition states certainly aren't a violation of c being the speed limit, in fact they're ultimately a consequence of it. What does appear to violate c however is quantum entanglement, or "spooky action at a distance" as Einstein called it. 2 atoms are locked into the same state. If you change one, the other one changes instantly regardless of the distance between them. It's been done with molecules over a kilometer apart (HUGE DISTANCE on the atomic scale!)
  5. Right now I'm reading Organic Chemistry by John McMurry. I'm also working on Pierce's Genetics, Young and Freedman's University Physics, and when I can grab a free moment Bear's Neuroscience Fun!! But I'd definately not waste my time reading a book that wasn't about science.
  6. I have a 2001.
  7. And just so everyone is clear, YT posted that information only after I urged him to for hours, so if theres a problem posting chemical weapon syntheses, you can direct all complaints to me.
  8. Since power is work per unit time, and work is force * distance, and force = ma, you should be able to see that horsepower does not directly have anything to do with top speed. Indirectly it's related to engine design and quality which in turn determine the max speed, but purely speaking more horsepower does no neccessarily mean more speed. And I have attained 142mph on a dry level ROUGH road with 1/4 tank of gas, 1 passenger, no cargo, dry straight empty road on a 85 degree day with high humidity, and if you doubt that I'll bet you any amount of money that you can come down here, get into the car with me, and I'll take you 142mph as long as the road is dry.
  9. It may have been 142, but I definately have obtained at least 142. However I will stick to the 180 potential. I specifically remember reading that the limiter was set to (142 seems more like it now based on me not actually going faster than that) because of the tired, and without the limiter it could reach 180.
  10. I don't recycle, because theres no recycling bins on our floor and I'm not going all the way downstairs every time i need to empty the trash.
  11. daisy you should have come in the chat room when you were online earlier, both me and YT were there and chatting, we saw you on the site but you didn't stop by the chat :/
  12. You, sir, are grossly misinformed. Perhaps you are refering to the V6 mustang, but certainly not the GT. The limiter is indeed set at 150mph.
  13. That should be a 3
  14. OMG HCl IS A DANGEROUS CHEMICAL PEOPLE CAN SEVERLY BURN THEIR SKIN AND KILL THEMSELVES IF THEY DRINK IT, WE'VE GOTTA HIDE THIS INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLIC IT'S DEADLY!!!!!! Don't mind me, I'm taking a break on a all nighter.
  15. Also, where the cheapest place to get reasonable quality chemicals like NaOH solutions, ethanol, and other common lab chems.
  16. I'm assembling a home laboratory to perform experiments, and after a thorough search of the internet I'm unable to find a supplier that offers condensers for a reasonable price... the cheapest condenser I can find out there is $85... which is equal to my total budget to get all the glassware I need. I'm sure someone out there knows where to get a cheaper condenser, and also other kinds of glassware, so by all means share the knowledge
  17. Well if I'm going to have competition, I'll just shut down the forum at 24,990 and post 9 junk posts then the 25,000th And NSX has the "real" 25000th post (postid=25000), this is 25471...
  18. I'll put up more detailed statistics about signups and postcounts when we reach the 25,000 post milestone in a few days
  19. Yes, we monitor signup trends. In October 2003, there were 78 new registrants, which makes that our third most active month ever. In 2003, we have so far averaged 14.78 new users per week, while in 2002 we averaged 6.04 new users per week. From January 1st, 2003 to June 31st, 2003, we averaged 12.7 new users per week, and from July 1st, 2003 until November 1st 2003, we averaged 17.67 new users per week. So actually, we're seeing a constant increase in the signup rate.
  20. Could also lead to spamming and an increase in people who sign up and never post.
  21. Addictions are a plight of the weak. I've done things way more addictive than nicotine without becoming dependent
  22. Anyone posting spoilers until the monday after the public release gets hit with the banstick....
  23. 3 days... and on IMAX the first showing is at noon, but I have an organic chemistry test that's also at noon... so i'll have to see it that night :/
