I would not even apply to any medical school that required literature/art classes. While humanities are important, they should be pursued separately from academics. There is extremely little benefit in taking those couses as required for a degree, the focus of academics should be whatever field you're interested in. I'd much rather have an excellent surgeon who knows jack about literature than a mediocre surgeon who is a great philosopher.

Dogs have a more developed sense of hearing than humans. This is related to the length of cilia on hair cells in the ear. While humans can hear 20Hz-20KHz, dogs can hear higher frequencies. Response to storms is related to sensation of pressure (when a storm comes in, barometric pressure drops).

Cocaine was originally developped as a local anaesthetic. When you snort it, the back of your throat and most of your mouth go numb.
