Most people who use drugs believe that drugs do not have a negative impact on their life. There's a huge difference between a recreational occaisonal user and a junkie, and alot of people actually can handle occaisonal use without turning into a junkie.

People who take them generally aren't scared of them, so if you understood why people weren't scared of them, you might understand why they use them.
-
I don't know who said it, but it's not very accurate as most models and data indicate the universe is not spherical.
-
Why are you scared of drugs?

I'd say entertainment value more than peer pressure. It's just like alcohol... you do it, have a good time, and if you do it too much you get problems.

what kind of mac, judging by your ip... it must be the IIGS macs that USF still uses

M/W/F Wake up, shower, class, class, lunch, class, study, class, homework, sleep by 3 T/R wake up, shower, class, lunch, lab or sleep, class, homework, bed by 2 Note the lack of dinner. No time for dinner any more with 6:30pm classes, or anything resembling a social time until Friday night. And I've had 4 exams in 2 weeks, all of them annoyingly difficult and requiring several all nighters.

Actually I believe they have developed a material that stores light and emits it later. Very interesting.

On the first one, where the Cl is isn't a carbon, so you can't start from there. Start on the furthest to the left. The second one looks like it should be in the heptane family.

y=x/(1-x)^3 ...quotient rule (uv' - vu')/v^2, u=x, v=(1-x)^3 x(3(1-x)^2*(0-1)) - (1-x)^3 ------------------------------ ((1-x)^3)^2 i hate algebraic simplification, so you can go from there an alternative is to use implicit differentiation... but i doubt that's what your teacher is looking for here. A horizontal line has a slope of zero... so just find where y' is zero. -------------------------------- y=cos(x-1)/(x-1) ...this is just the quotient rule again, d/dx uv = (uv' - vu')/v^2 ------------------------ i'll look at the 3rd one later... don't just copy down my solutions, because i don't have my ti-89 handy i can't check things, so odds are i amde a mistake somewhere

It's not like that in US medical school. You typically pay far more per year medical tuition than undergrad. However if you're accepted into an MD/PhD program, both medical school and graduate school are fully payed for, as well as a stipend for living expenses.

This poll is asinine.

Well if you're depressed because your friends died... and you killed them... then you shouldn't receive treatment for the depression

Affirmative action is reverse discrimination and not acceptable. Race should not be a factor either way in anything. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Well dreams are a mix of information so it could be deja vu (recognizing a similarity to a past situation) and simply last encountering the memory of that situation in a dream, so it could seem like an accurate picture of the future. This is why you can't predict things like the lottery numbers, or any other extremely specific detail.

Well generally doctors ask how you got a physical injury before they treat it, if you're coherent enough to answer.

Yeah but it's pretty much instant death if your tire blows at 80mph, so if i'm going to die i'd rather die at 150 than 80. plus the tires are rated for 150mph, which is why the limiter is set at 150. the engine is capable of about 180.

A geologist proclaiming that everything we know about the graviton is wrong. This thread is asinine. Thread closed indeed. And filed under Pseudoscience. -
Nah I'm a great driver. I can handle 150mph... it was at night... but then again the sides of the roads are fenced off so its highly unlikely something big will run out into the road. And the traffic was very light. I had a far greater chance of lightning striking my car and causing a speed-independent death than something that would have happened because of my driving.

Maybe there's a reason it's difficult to do something about it.

I finally maxed my car out at 150(mph, 241.4kph) on the alley last sunday. well not maxed out, but hit the electronic limiter. People normally do 80 (129kph) along that road, and that's 10 over hte limit... imagine what it's like to see someone flying past you like you're standing still I made it across the entire state of Florida in less than an hour.

And where exactly did you get those values. Because a graviton is most likely massless, and probably not even a force carrier particle (curvature of space time causes the effects of gravity). And since when is gravity luminous... and i can't even image a way for measure the luminosity of a graviton. Further more, there's simply no way a graviton has a mass on the order of 10^-8, which would make it 3^19 times more massive than a proton. -
The US government already has weaponiozed ebola.... To make it airborn all you have to do is add in a gene or too from something like influenza to increase the surface area enough.

Bah, his accomplishments pale in comparison to the amazing feats of the emanant Fafalone!!!!
