  1. Intelligence isn't primarily a function of the number of brain cells, but rather the connections between them.
  2. So what is the mass of a singularity?
  3. Don't make me restrict your posting to pseudoscience only
  4. I've never heard of this, especially considering electrons have some mass.
  5. A singularity is an infinitely small point, the escape velocity approaches infinity as you approach the singularity.
  6. If we didn't learn about what's already been done, achievement would become quite redundant and innovation would drastically slow down.

    Ants

Did it occur to you that there might be a reason ants became specialized?
  9. This comment stems from your teachers lack of understanding of the law of entropy. Entropy can decrease in any system, because it will be coupled in an increase in entropy in the universe as a whole. Ask your teacher how life is possible, he'll either say "I don't know" or answer with religion.
  10. No, it would cause gaseous nitrogen and oxygen to form since the molecules will spread out as far as possible.

    space ghost does?
  15. That's what you get for using a TI-83, my TI-89 gave me zero.
  16. You didn't. 0 is the correct answer.
  17. It's completely possible for life to be on Mars... since all life doesn't require an atmosphere, and there may be water underground. (When I refer to life, I mean simple bacterial life, certainly not advanced life forms.)

    Guns

Guns and war are not good, but at times they are neccessary. Americans, unlike alot of the rest of the world, are capable of seeing when bad things are needed before it's too late. Drugs can be good, or they can be bad. It depends entirely on the user. The same could be said for ALOT of things that aren't illegal.
  20. Betweens grants, loans, and scholarships... private schools aren't that expensive.
  21. yup, in fact there is a company working on combining all different genes to create an entirely new species.
  22. Physical abuse is not neccessary to convey a disciplinary point. My parents never hit me and don't have a discipline problem.
  23. Do you really think keeping drugs illegal stops your kids from trying them? No, it encourages them. This is not statistics, it's simple human nature to want what we're told we can't have. Take alcohol in other countries; it's introduced at an early age, and as a consequence there's significantly less problems related to it in the future.
  24. I believe the virtual particles to which you are referring are a particle and its anti-particle being spontaneously created from nothing due to the vacuum fluctuations Radical Edward mentioned. They don't exist for very long.
